Job Description

Prime Function:

  •  Liaise with Event Services Manager and ascertain their requirements and co-ordinate the needs to ensure successful execution of the convention.
  •  To assist the Banquet Manager during the conventions.
  •  Assist the Banquet Manager to supervise and control the Banqueting department to the required standards and within agreed budgetary limits.
  • Responsible for the overall operation of the convention and understand the guest requirements and supervise the banquet team to ensure all guest’s requirements are met.
  • Any matter which may effect the interests of ACCOR should be brought to the attention of the Management.

Financial Management

  • Assist the Banquet Manager to maintain and update corporate database, entering delegate bookings to ensure delegate information/ records are kept up to date and accurate for future events.
  • Identify optimal, cost effective use of the resources and educate the team on the same.

Operational Management

  •  To ensure that all guest requirements are met. In case of non-availability report the same to the Banquet Manager.
  •  To ensure that the requested refreshments are served timeously.
  •  Ensure to up-date status board and inform the other departments once confirmation of the convention is received.
  •  Ensure the cleanliness of all the rooms.
  •  To ensure that all necessary stationery requirements are in place.
  •  Ensure that water jugs, glasses and refreshments are replenished at regular intervals.
  •  To show the client the various facilities available and also ensure to advise and discuss about the advantages of the various options.
  •  Ensure to check the convention rooms for cleanliness before guests arrive.
