Job Description
JOB FUNCTION – REQUIREMENTS – SUCCESS FACTORS
This position will provide support to different levels of the GSM organization to strengthen processes and controls, standardize purchasing policy, cost management, facilitate cost saving initiatives and improve functional efficiency and productivity. He/she will act as a key business partner to ensure compliance and alignment of process and procedures to PPG Policy with a focus on a One PPG approach. This role will also work closely with GSM and corporate controllership to ensure alignment and execution consistent to PPG guidelines, Global Purchasing Policy, and AP regional policies.
- Strengthen, improve, and standardize purchasing policy and procedures across Asia Pacific locations and systems; with alignment and support from supply chain and regional controllership;
- Integrate any acquired and legacy sites and systems into PPG “best practices” processes.
- Ensure internal controls and compliance across all purchasing activities; continuously review and monitor the strength and enforcement of controls and procedures, proactively identify risk areas and perform gap analysis, and recommend process improvements to the team and business.
- Improve data accuracy and analysis of financial performance as a result of Purchasing initiatives, including quarterly RM rebate tracking and reporting.
- Develop tools and actively identify cost opportunities to leverage reductions;
- Contract management to ensure all executed contracts (RM, GP, lease, Logistics) managed by purchasing are properly approved, executed, filed and uploaded to a centralized platform and can be reviewed / renewed timely.
- Active participant to drive Holistic Margin Management in the region;
- Implement robust reporting for Global Competitive Sourcing (GCS) cost savings.
- Implement reporting system for Purchase KPI in AP
- Work with lead buyer to achieve forecast accuracy pertaining to future RM trends

Prepare and consolidate management reports and presentations on a monthly basis in line with regional and global deadlines. Standardize metrics across SBUs and countries. Provide proactive support to business and function with ad-hoc analysis.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or an MBA with strong foundation in internal controls and Sigma Logic is desirable
- Proven ability to build strong work relationships, promote teamwork and build trust and respect
- Have effective organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Has broad breadth of business and operation experience
- Be self-motivated and work with a high degree of autonomy
- The ability to develop others is essential
