Job Description
As the Narrative Design Manager at GOAT Games, you will lead a team of Narrative Designers and Development Managers to ensure high quality, consistent narrative design is achieved across multiple titles, in live and production environments. You will maintain and steer vision for existing and new projects, and coach narrative designers closely on their work.

You Will
Lead the launching of new projects and major initiatives by analyzing market trends, identifying creative opportunity spaces and crafting direction pitches suitable for Western audiences playing mobile games.
Acquire buy-in from key development and publishing stakeholders.
Work with the Art Direction team and Narrative Designers to establish tone, setting, style and theme. Ensure creative alignment is understood and followed by all parties.
Define and enforce a bar of quality & consistency, manage proper artifact archiving across multiple projects.
Review Narrative Designers’ work and offer direct guidance and feedback. Help Narrative Designers reach their full potential by setting goals and OKRs.
Manage the department with coaching,performance reviews, and optimize managerial processes as necessary.
Ensure the proper implementation of narrative design artifacts by attending and setting meetings with development teams, and optimizing processes whenever necessary.
Create narrative artifacts for existing and future projects when necessary.
Provide development teams with a tangible cultural understanding of sensitivity risks and preferences of Western game audiences.
You Are
Native or Fluent in English: English is your first language or you are fluent in English and can write creatively using the language.
An experienced Writer: You have 3+ years working in narrative-driven media.
A game developer: You have prior experience working on games as a profession, preferably mobile, and have an understanding of game development pipelines, especially related to narrative design.
A leader: You have significant experience managing a team.
A gamer: You “get” games. You understand the typical systems that are reused across games and even some nuances in game design. You have strong opinions on them.
An expert problem-solver: You have constraints, which means you have solutions. You know how to take the core of an idea and realize its full potential despite deadlines or multiple voices chiming in.
