Job Description
Position Purpose & Summary
The role will be responsible to develop, recommend and execute the strategy for Cargill Bio Chemical Co (CBCC). Develop a good Local Operations Management Team to grow the business profitably within the agreed upon business strategies. To represent the Business in the local community, local and regional professional organizations and the Chinese government. Create, develop and manage a CBCC culture of sound ethics, safety, customer focus and growth.
Principal Accountabilities
Strategy Deployment and Execution:
Develop and recommend the strategy of CBCC;
Make decisions and/or influences commercial and functional leadership on how and where investments are made and resources are allocated, with the goal of enabling increased profits;
Lead the strategy execution and develop plans to maximize growth, profitability and return on investment;
Be accountable for revenue growth and for developing, aligning, and translating overall business objectives into performance targets and goals.
Site Overall Management:
Responsible for achieving financial and non-financial comprehensive business results for CBCC;
Non-financial metric examples include: safety, talent development, productivity, product volumes, customer service results, production throughput, etc.
Keep stakeholders informed monthly on the key issues / challenges / opportunities of the business;
Manage the compliance with all Corporate requirements to ensure the business is properly controlled, legal, safe, environmentally sound, ethical and engaged;
Play a key role in the commercial area, to work with regional commercial team to execute budgeted volume and drive more value through innovation;
In charge of key decision for corn sourcing and positioning;
Build and reinforce the culture that aligns with Cargill’s values and business systems;
People Management & Team Devleopment:
Personally demonstrates, and leads others on the Cargill Leadership Expectations;
Be accountable for ensuring that all people processes are executed (e.g. performance, development, talent, compensation, etc.), and decisions are made at the location level;
Creates the atmosphere that holds people accountable while providing an environment that allows people to execute, succeed, be challenged/engaged, and grow;
Directly, and indirectly through the leadership of others, develops and coaches employees to ensure high performance, and prepares the talent pipeline for key postions.
External Relationship Management:
Develop the relationships with local, regional and central government, key industry professional organizations and key customers and suppliers;
Act as company representative and spokesperson to external community, and uses highly advanced relationship and influence skill to navigate social and political environments to promote Cargill’s brand and products;
Leads and participates in community involvement efforts as a responsible corporate citizen.

Qualifications
Education, Experience, Skills
1.Minimum Required Qualifications
Recognized Degree from University
Fluent in English and both Chinese
Minimum 5 years experience in operations
Minimum 3 years of management experience
Proven effective communicator and preference for operational management
Strong analytical skills and stress resistance
Convincing on the basis of natural authority and clear argumentation
Process and result oriented
Multicultural exposure
Knowledge of starch and sweetener processes, customer focus, financial know-how
Good understanding of management systems and the relationships between departments
Reasonable understanding of the food industry and the political environment
Good communicator, natural leadership skills and good analytical skills
Good understanding of local markets
Solid understanding of company ethics, procedures and rules
Good understanding of the political and legal situation in China
Good networking skills
Strong political skills
