General Manager Autmomotive Engineering m/f

Which interesting tasks will you be responsible for?

Together with your team you will turn ideas into reality, accelerate the development and ensure sustainability in the use of energy and resources. You will meet like-minded people with who you work daily on the innovations of the future for.

• Responsibility for approx. 100 persons for complete location team (engineering and central departments) on operational side as well as for customer projects
• Leadership, organizational and financial planning and execution (project management tasks)
• Business development in cooperation with sales
• Interfaces to contacts to government, universities and other public authorities in order to develop the location according to the business requirements
• Participation in preparation of technical and cost proposals for new projects
• Capacity planning of test benches, establishment of goals and job competencies, identification and development of skill gaps, evaluation of resources, coaching on a continuous basis and evaluation of performance

Which experience should you bring with you?

• University degree in internal combustion engine or vehicle engineering or related educational background. Additional MBA is a plus
• In depth knowledge of powertrain development incl. development processes and methods
• At least 8 years working experience, min. 2 years working experience in team or large project management
• Experience in setting of priorities for team management skills and project management topics
• Strong communication skills in organisation, training, negotiation, coordination and trouble shooting issues
• Strong sense of responsibility
• Several years of experience in studying or working abroad, alternatively working experience in a German/Chinese joint venture in China
• Excellent English language skills, German is a big plus
