General Manager – Digital Industries Process Automation As a result of an internal career move, a great opportunity has become available at Siemens Digital Industries (DI). We are recruiting for the position of General Manager – Process Automation (PA) with full responsibility for our Business Unit activities across the UK and Ireland. The role will be the Head of SOM Code RC-GB DI PA. This role will report to the Managing Director of Digital Industries representing the comprehensive and diverse Process Automation portfolio. The successful candidate will need to: drive profitable growth for the business in line with the Digital Industries strategy; promote technology leadership and innovation; engage with customers at an executive level and develop new business models, whilst delivering against varied operational objectives. In addition, the successful candidate will need to proactively lead, develop, and coach the team to meet defined targets whilst maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. If so, then this role might be for you... We are looking for an inspirational and experienced leader to join and contribute to a well-established and experienced DI general management team. You will have overall responsibility for a broad, multi-site organisation and a multi-million Pound profit and loss. The role holder will lead the operational aspects of this growing function and develop local growth strategies in close co-operation with the UK and Ireland regional leadership team and headquarters. The role includes collaboration with and motivation of business stakeholders, including partners and the developing industrial digitalisation eco-system. This is a high-profile role with the opportunity to build on recent years of successful business growth and influence the future of the process automation sector through thought leadership and stakeholder engagement. Your Role – Challenging and future oriented • You are leading, developing, and implementing the Process Automation vision and strategy • You drive profitable growth in the PA business segments including Process Control Systems (AE), Measurement Intelligence (MI), Digital Communications & Power (DCP), Process Automation Solutions (PA SOL), IoT Competence Centre – Water & Wastewater and the (new) PA Software business • Multi million Pound P&L responsibility across the UK & Ireland with ambitious growth plans • You engage with major customers, partners, HQ stakeholders and external bodies. • You build excellent, high-performing teams through leadership and coaching and make people development, succession planning and diversity a priority for the talents in Manchester, Worcester and home-based • Promoting process automation ‘technology with purpose’ through thought leadership both externally and internally • You drive productivity improvement measures and appropriate cost control to deliver profit targets   YOU • You are an experienced manager with a proven track record of success • You will offer a real leadership with empathy and act as a role model. Being Passionate, eager to learn, driving topics proactively and being resilient in the VUCA world • Outstanding leader of people who can demonstrate operational capability and industry / domain expertise in the process sector • Good understanding of the process automation market, our portfolio, and the value our propositions represent to customers • Demonstrate a strategic mindset and sound tactical thinking • Ability to effectively collaborate both internally and externally to the benefit of the customer and the business • Entrepreneurial skills to develop new business models and build eco-systems to address increasingly complex customer needs. A control automation &/or instrumentation background with related domain/ sales expertise would be highly advantageous • An agile mindset that can adapt to a diverse portfolio and range of go-to-market strategies, from commodity products through to £multi-m projects • Demonstrate ability to communicate clearly and effectively to audiences large and small • Advanced problem-solving orientation We’ve got quite a lot to offer!
