The Job
Reporting to Director (Corporate Services), the appointee will act as the head of the department, ensuring that the human resources (HR) functions of the organization are performed effectively. He/She is expected to develop HR strategies and provide sound advice to senior management on all related matters.The main responsibilities include:
- To develop corporate plans, strategies and policies in relation to HR functions and direct the team to accomplish departmental objectives;
- To formulate plans and implement programmes to support organizational development, including recommending changes to organization structure to leverage talent and align with corporate directions;
- To drive, develop and implement change programme and initiatives in alignment with corporate objectives and organizational priorities;
- To oversee the HR operations encompassing staffing, compensation and benefits, training, talent development, performance management, etc.;
- To enhance employee relations and promote an engaging corporate culture; and
- To coach and provide guidance to the team for continuous improvement.
The Person
- A recognized degree in any discipline;
- At least 15 years of experience in human resources management, of which at least 8 years should be at Senior Manager level, preferably gained in sizable or public organizations;
- Thorough knowledge of human resources management principles and best practices, preferably with experience in change management;
- Strong command of written and spoken English and Chinese with effective communication skills;
- Highly effective interpersonal, leadership, people management, analytical, organization and problem solving skills; and
- Strong business acumen, plus sensitivity to the human factor.
Remuneration Package
A competitive remuneration and benefits package including a discretionary performance-linked variable pay, annual leave, medical, dental and life insurance coverage, and MPF will be offered. All new appointments will be made on a two-year fixed-term contract initially prior to consideration for appointment on a non-fixed-term basis.
