Job Description

We are seeking for a highly motivated individual to join Regional Center South East Asia (RC SEA) to lead the Daimler Bus Sales & Marketing Team for the Next 30 markets within Daimler Commercial Vehicles South East Asia Pte. Ltd. (DCVSEA).

As a General Manager (Level 4) - Head of Bus Sales & Marketing DCVSEA/Next 30 Markets, your main responsibilities will include the following:

1. Provide consultation to distribution
Develop strategic plans and operative targets, together with the regional distributors, as well as to ensure the realization of the strategic plans. Selection of the suitable products and their introduction to the market, including providing the necessary training thus to achieve the targeted market share. Implement sales and marketing measures and to manage all projects that support the growth of the business.

2. Tender & Key Account Management
Represent Daimler Bus to the customers for Sales & Marketing. Regular consultation with key customers with regard to product technology & new initiatives of Daimler Buses. Pre-tendering activities, tender document analysis, specification creation, technical presentations to key customers. Establish good relationship with Singapore’s Land Transport Authorities and be involved in presentation of future technologies (e.g. electric buses, etc.)

3. Brand, product and price strategies
Develop and implement brand, product and price strategies in the bus business within the responsible markets. Regular analysis of the market development by providing a timely market and competitor intelligence, thus developing a market and customer-oriented product and price strategy.

4. Building relationship with regions‘ body builders, vendors and component suppliers
Develop and strengthen close relationships with body builders, vendors and component suppliers, to capitalize on their knowledge, market information and customer relations in order to enlarge business and market intelligence.

5. Planning and reporting
Execute the planning process (e.g. Kufri, OP, FTR) in collaboration with the relevant markets and provide the numbers to all relevant parties in a timely manner. Reporting to various stakeholders to secure the joint approach in targeting sales to the regional distributors.

6. Lead the Bus Sales and marketing team in S.E.A.
Manage and lead the Bus Sales and marketing team within DCVSEA. Equip the team with the necessary skills and competencies to execute their sales task and increase inter-departmental collaboration, thus ensuring distributors/MPCs received the highest level of support towards the end customers.

And any other reasonable assigned tasks.
