In the role of General Manager, you are ultimately responsible for the success of Novotel Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, running the hotel’s complete administration locally. With your extended experience in the hotel industry, you are in charge of sales, marketing and financial targets. Your MICE skills will be fully utilized, as Novotel Amsterdam Schiphol Airport has recently launched a one of a kind, high level and high volume MICE venue, named The B-House which perfectly complements the 17 existing meeting rooms. You believe sustainability and digitalization are key factors for the future success of hospitality and you are constantly looking for improvements in these areas. Who are we looking for?
 

For the role of General Manager at Novotel Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, we are looking for a commercially driven business person who is financially savvy and result focused with strong interpersonal skills. Someone who will run the hotel as if they own it. You are known as easy approachable and you value your presence in the hotel lobby and back of house workplaces. You possess the following qualifications:

• The position is offered for a fulltime employment
• Prior 5+ years’ experience as General Manager in a hotel is essential
• You gained your GM experience in a medium to large size property (>250 rooms)
• Extensive know-how and experience in leading and selling a MICE venue
• Bachelor degree in Business or Hospitality Management
• Fluent in English and Dutch
• Good understanding of the current hospitality market of Amsterdam and the Schiphol area
• Experience with owners and managers relationship and multi-stakeholder management
• Must be strategic, creative and able to clearly communicate how plans will deliver on overall goals, backed up by data and analysis
• Excellent networking, speaking and presentation skills
• Demonstrated experience with organizational change management
• Bottom-line oriented with emphasis on high quality guest-service and coaching leadership skills
