Job Description

Role purpose:

Oversee and drive the execution of the go-to-market strategy for Informa Tech in China. Highly commercial, collaborative and responsible for accelerating the revenue growth of the collective markets for Informa Tech which include content, digital media, events, and training revenues associated with China. This will be achieved through the alignment and integration of these capabilities to better service clients and audiences.

The candidate will work collaboratively with the market leads and teams to shape their market strategies with a China lens and drive the business forward. Represents Informa Tech in China to customers, partners and colleagues and wins the hearts and minds of local colleagues, inspiring them with vision and excellence. Drives for excellence in understanding the customer and deepening market knowledge.

Areas of responsibility/accountability

· Partner with the market pillar leads to define and oversee the execution of, the vision and go-to market strategy and plan for the market pillars “going big in China” including AI/IOT; automotive; components and devices; service provider and government and manufacturing . This will include working collaboratively to advise the market pillar leads and scope and drive the China Market strategy, Product & Service strategy and Marketing & Sales strategy.

· Commercial leadership and acceleration of revenue growth in the region.

· Demonstrable global leadership presence and capability to secure the voice of the market, customer and personas to ensure that the needs, wants and desires of the market in China are understood.

· Partner with the marketing directors to grow audiences in China

· Drive and oversee the delivery of new products and services, working collaboratively across the business and driving and shaping the partnership with Informa Markets

· Builds, leads and develops high performing teams ensuring talent is nurtured and developed, and colleagues reach their full potential – including championing wider China and APAC colleagues, not just colleagues under direct management.

· Acts internally and externally as a champion and ambassador for the Informa Tech business in China. Represents Informa Tech and the market pillar ambitions in conversations with government; clients; partners and identify opportunities to feed into Informa Tech’s market pillar strategies in China and shaping Informa Tech’s overall strategy

· Gives definition and shape to the target market, customer and personas.

· Partnering with the Product Manager in APAC to develop and nurture deep relationships with and understanding of the voice of the customer. Anticipates their current and future needs though creative problem solving.

· Understands the competition and the external landscape and is selective about the product focus.

· Has a deep understanding of, and ability to align the capabilities across the market pillar teams behind the go-to market strategy (Product, Data & Analytics, Content, Sales, Marketing, Customer Solutions & Success).

· Shapes the product and service roadmap and ensures that the voice of the market and customer is reflected within, holding the Product Manager accountable for its delivery.

· •Drive the alignment and integration of the research, digital media, events and training within the Market Pillar such that;

· Enables Marketing to position the products and service offerings, and Sales to Solution-Sell to Clients and to lead sales by example in key customers.

· Development of OKRs, monitoring, tracking and reporting specifically for China growth

Qualifications

•Proven strategic and commercial decision making and solid knowledge/experience of go to market strategies.

Experience & Qualifications (no change)

•Demonstrable commercial leadership and evidence of growing revenue and ownership of P&L

•Has strong leadership presence and capability, and demonstrable experience in leveraging the expertise and knowledge of large globally diverse teams with a strong emphasis on coaching and learning.

•Passion for the market and the customer, and proven experience in building and nurturing relationships

•Ability to operate across a matrix organisation; able to deliver results through vision and influence, as much as through line management authority.

•Proven prior experience working inB2B Information Services.

•Evidence of creating and instilling a data-driven culture which is customer-centric, agile, and adopts a test and learn approach

•Successfully led business involving multiple natures of business (research, media, events,

•Achievement of Informa Tech OKRs

•Accelerated revenue growth from the Market Pillars in China (>4%) and achievement of the market pillar 3YPs.

•Year on year growth in Audience quality and quantity in China

•Year on year growth in the correlation of digital media readers, research subscribers, event delegate, training students.

•Solution Contracts > $100k in value.

•Growth in colleague engagement score as agreed within OKRs
