Job Description
Title: General Warehouse Associate
Function: Logistics
Department: Call Off
Reports to: Call Off Department Manager
Direct Reports: None
Overall Job Function: Responsible to provide excellent service to the stores by performing all duties related to picking and packing of H&M merchandise with accuracy, quality, efficiency and sustainability according to H&M values, policies, and procedures.
Job Responsibility including but not limited to:
- Organizes lists of garments needed by store and hands out to employees to pick and pack
- Picks and packs garments in designated store totes from designated warehouse locations determined by computerized lists
- Accurately marks lists with corrections where discrepancies exist either in locations, quantities, or variants.
- Must be able to enter corrections from lists into computer.
- Helps with location and list audits.
- Maintains clutter free and safe work area.
- Follows and executes all safety, security, and administrative routines.
- Sorts and stages recyclables.
- Retrieves loaded totes and racks and load trucks with merchandise, fixtures, and all other parcels or supplies in an organized and secured manner and secures with a seal.
- Fills out Bill of Ladings in an accurate manner as shown in H&M shipping manual for each truck including merchandise counts and seal numbers.
- Unloads received trucks and ensures all merchandise on Bill of Lading is accounted for and in good shape.
- Notifies a manager of any discrepancies or damages.
- Breaks down and sorts cartons/totes/pallets daily from arriving trailers.
- Confirms quantities of new production received before storing into call off and buffer locations.
- Stores cartons into predetermined locations.
- Accurately scans variants and location barcodes as a checks and balances of inventory control.

Minimum Candidate Qualifications:
- Prior warehouse experience preferred
- Must be fluent in English – Reading, Writing, Verbal
Competencies:
- Lifting up to 50 lbs. may be required
- May be required to pull/push manual jack – 10 to 50 lbs.
- Extended time standing and/or bending
- Ability to work in a team and individually
- Ability to work in fast-paced time sensitive environment
- Good communication skills
- Ability to take own initiative and meet deadlines
- Good computer skills
- If required, ability to operate electric pallet jack and/or high low machinery
- If required, ability to operate a scanning gun
- If required, ability to operate strapping machine
