YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role, Genotyping Deploy and Sustain Lead, are to: 

• Manage timeline and milestones towards implementation of novel genotyping capability projects;
• Manage a team of research associates, scientists and engineers, drive decisions on resourcing their time across a complex portfolio of projects for novel genotyping capabilities, including marker and automation capabilities;
• Direct a team of engineers on design concepts, prototyping, build, and field deployment of novel automation solutions for high throughput genotyping;
• Direct experimental design, execution and technical presentations of research associates and engineers including work to evaluate and validate results from external collaborators;
• Manage external collaborations for innovations in genotyping molecular biology and automation engineering, drive milestones towards implementation of technologies, including development of key experiments and/or evaluation of engineering design and prototypes and accumulating and presenting data to drive decisions;
• Manage, coordinate, drive in person meetings with third party collaborators;
• Devise new protocols and maintenance documents for handoff to production teams;
• Identify and troubleshoot quality concerns through the use of Quality Management System (QMS), analytics, LEAN and OEE;
• Deploy molecular process optimizations as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in Genomics, Molecular Biology, Genetics or related field or Master's Degree in Engineering, Genomics, Molecular Biology, Genetics or related field with 3+ years of experience or Bachelor's in Engineering or related field with 5+ years of related professional experience;
• 5+ years of experience with automation engineering;
• 2+ years of experience with LEAN, TPM, OEE, CMMS;
• Demonstrated history of establishing and maintaining effective relationships;
• Strong written and oral communication skills;
• Experience working on and leading cross functional teams.

Domestic relocation may be available for this role.
