Job Description

The Country SEC Officer contributes to the security of personnel, assets, and operations. In cooperation with the Country CEO he or she is responsible to implement and comply with the regulations set by GM SEC, regarding assets, project and travel security, personal protection and event security, protection against economic espionage, crisis management and security awareness by all operations in the country. The Country SEC Officer advises the country management on security matters. For this purpose, he or she works in close cooperation with the Regional and the Division Security Officer and other security related functions. Your challenges • Build and operate a functional security and crisis management structure with adequate resources to address security priorities within the country in cooperation with country management and the Regional Security Officer; • Establish lines of communication for cooperation within the country security structure including sites and projects; •Monitor the security situation within the region and identify security priorities for the security structure in line with the security situation and business requirements; • Develop security procedures covering all security topics (asset protection, personal, project and travel security, information protection, crisis management, etc) to execute the defined security processes in the region; • Design mitigating measures in line with GM SEC regulations for all business activities in the region (e.g.property protetion, conditions for travel, events) and support division site and project security concepts; Supervise and control the implementation of security procedures and mitigating measures by the business (e.g. project and travel security); • Coordinate and cooperate with Regional and Division Security functions on preventive and reactive security measures for business activities and synchronize approaches with security related specialist functions in the region (such as SRE, EHS, InfoSec etc.); • Advise and support the responsible management with regard to managing security incidents and crisis situations; • Provide input for the development of regulations, processes, and services. What we need from you • Academic degree or accordant education at a security authority; • Experience in security and crisis management topics for at least 10 years; • Work experience at an international company, a security company or a security authority for at least 3 years; • Project Management experience (e.g. process implementation, etc.); • Good command of English (spoken and written) and Portuguese; • In depth knowledge of the main security issues in the country/region. • In depth knowledge of corporate security risk management methodologies and standards across GM SEC security topics (personal/ event/ project security, property/asset protection, information protection, crisis management). • Good network in the security community; Workplace and hiring model • CLT, hybrid model (home office 2 days a week!) • São Paulo or Jundiaí (travel availability).
