Eaton at CPD PCD Haina is currently seeking for a Manufacturing Engineering / Technical Services Manager to join our team. This role has the following responsibilties: Job Summary To provide the vision, leadership and operational excellence by planning and directing the efforts of the Manufacturing Engineering and Technical Services functions combined to drive the business towards a World Class manufacturing operation. Maximizing resources, reducing cost and progress into Industry 4.0-Digital transformation. Responsible to ensure equipment’s reliability, business continuity-sustainability, buildings maintenance/services, manufacturing profit, capacity, capability, flexibility, productivity, quality, and safety. Job Responsibilities General functions: Lead the selection and introduction of new machines technologies required to ensure plant capacity, growth, and incorporation/deployment of Industry 4.0, Business Intelligence & Digital transformation. Drives technology projects development of machines & automated equipment to support Safety, Cost out, productivity & Quality. Lead the analysis, strategy, justification/ROI and drives the execution of equipment & infrastructure of capital projects. Controls and maintain inventory of equipment’s spare parts (Tool Crib), assembly tools, fixtures and MROs, ensuring critical spare availability and budget attainment. Establish contractual relationship and negotiations with 3rd party vendors, to request service and/or parts for repairs / services that requires specialized skills. Participate, develops, and deploy actions related to risk assessments, Business Continuity Plans, Management of Change (MOC), permits submissions to comply EHS requirements and regulations. Develop and execute skills assessment and future competency development plan for based on current needs and future technology evolution. Technical Services activities: Responsible for Corrective, Preventive/Predictive Maintenance (TPM) programs, ensuring associated cost is aligned with finance CONC budget. Sponsors the utilization of computerized maintenance management system and building management system (BMS), to ensure proper scheduling and execution. Responsible to maintain machines and equipment up-time (OEE) under control to ensure required manufacturing productivity levels. Responsible to ensure proper, selection, installation and functioning of all kind of equipment utilized for manufacturing operations and building, including but not limited to: machining equipment (CNCs, lathes, router, cutters/grinders), electronic based equipment, testers, laser, spinners, riveters, presses, tapping, automatic equipment (PLC), printing/painting (pad transfer), welders, soldering, HVAC, air compressor/dryer, chiller, waste water treatment plant (WWTP), electric power feed panels-distribution, lighting, emergency generator, industrial trucks, load banks, among others. Responsible for general building infrastructure, leasehold improvement, building and ground maintenance, janitorial and contractors management. Responsible to design, maintain and improve manufacturing operations in compliance with local laws codes, international regulations, and Eaton standards such as: R032 (fire protection), 522 (health-safety), 64-00 (environmental), NFPEA70 (electrical), 16-92 (labor code), OSHAs, among others. Ensures inspections, records and documentation required by the insurance companies, ISO, consultants and/or local authorities. Support production teams in process optimization, yield improvement, capacity, and waste minimization. Ensure safe and reliable operation of the plant through strict adherence to safe work practices by all maintenance department personnel. Oversees two buildings Process Manufacturing activities: Plan, direct and coordinates actions to support manufacturing production processes to assure attainment of operations goals. Responsible for the manufacturing process yield is achieving required targets to ensure finance productivity and product quality levels. Set the strategy and execution of manufacturing footprint, process flow and layout design reducing waste (transportation, WIP) and improving lead time. Analyzes future demand-growth and participates in the SIOP process to calculate plant capacity requirements, manload, flexibility and productivity initiatives. Responsible for all the manufacturing standard methods, work instructions and factory standard work procedures to ensure compliance with product integrity design, performance, quality and safety requirements. Responsible for the labor product costing and routings maintenance in the ERP system. Ensures Job Safety Evaluations and Ergonomic workstations designs are completed and in compliance with EHS requirements. Support the plant’s maintenance and introduction of new products, working directly with Industrialization and Design teams following NPI-ProLaunch methodology. Responsible for product/process transfers from other plants/sites Responsible for process deviations and process changes are in compliance with Quality procedures, ensuring required documentation and validation standards. Support Corrective Actions (CQM’s), pFMEA’s, Control Plan, PPAP validation and product & process 3rd party certifications and perform specific functions to this position as described in the Quality Manual. Defines projects and initiatives to support operation’s Cost Savings targets. #LI-MM3 Qualifications Qualifications Bachelor's Degree: Industrial, Electronics, Electric, Mechanics, Electromechanical or engineering related career. Preferred education level: Minimum 10 years of experience in manufacturing environment / industry. 3-5 years of exposure and/or administration of processes involving equipment performance, machinery and technology. 3-5 years of exposure and/or administration of continuous improvement projects, product/process transfers, industrialization. Technical knowledge/Soft Skills: Fully Bilingual (English / Spanish) PC knowledge: Microsoft Office, Autocad. Project Management, Minitab. Prefer PowerBI Knowledge: Lean tools, Greenbelt training, Safety standards and regulations. Prefer: ISO 9001/ ISO 14001 auditor.
