We are looking for a Global Senior Account Manager to expand on our already long-term, positive relationships with one of our major clients in Oil & Gas. In this role you will lead all aspects of sales of this assigned client. You are encouraged to drive new business and actively seek new sales opportunities as well as maintaining the contracts we already have in place. Working within sales, you are the eyes and ears of our customer. You don’t wait till the customer calls you, but you take the initiative. You transform "That sounds interesting!" into actual contracts, paving the way for new avenues of business. You have an eye for the outside stakeholders influencing our client. Siemens and this client have committed themselves to collaborate on developing low-carbon and highly efficient energy solutions that support the energy transition.  The Siemens Vertical Sales team focuses on developing opportunities for global customers of different verticals. As Global Account Manager, you will be part of the international Oil & Gas vertical of Siemens with 14 direct colleagues and many more around the world in different countries. Although the Head Quarter is in Erlangen, you will work internationally and will have close contact with plant owners of this client worldwide and technical stakeholders based at the client offices in The Netherlands. Our portfolio consists of power distribution systems such as medium and low voltage switchgear, transformers, busbar systems, protective relays, automation and monitoring systems and modular structures such as E-Houses and Skids. What are the responsibilities associated with the job? Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationship, focusing on their Head Quarters but also their entities around the globe as "ONE face to the customer”. Further development of the global account, drive Account Development Plans (ADP) with market analysis and definition of strategic objectives, transparency through acquisition of projects in our CRM tool. Lead development, Contract negotiations and closure of agreements with a healthy profit in mind. Develop close relationships within Siemens (international) operating capture and execution teams. Responsible, in collaboration with the engineers, for the right technical advice and support to the customer in terms of products and their integration into power supply systems as well as the approval processes if required. Your background Proven experience in the international sales of power transmission and distribution systems and/or projects. A technical bachelor’s or master’s degree and basic knowledge of electrical power distribution. This in combination with experience in handling international customers and understand their investment and buying behavior would make you the perfect candidate. Demonstrate ability to communicate, present and influence key partners at all levels of an organization, including executive level. Proven track record to balance multiple tenders at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail. Positive, creative and eager to think in an unexpected way. You have the resilience and determination to nurture short and long sales cycles. A flexible attitude and willingness to travel. Preferably you will be based in The Hague, The Netherlands.
