What does the Global Applications Engineer of Digital Services for Life Sciences do, you ask? The Global Applications Engineer will be responsible to act as a bridge between our Digital Service Portfolio teams, our Digital Service Centers, engineering teams and our life sciences customers. The Applications Engineer will be a technical expert in our life sciences portfolio of digital services who will use input and sales information to design the deployment of digital services globally. The candidate will provide technical support and expertise to our regions to support the sale and implementation of these digital services for life sciences. Responsibilities: • Adapt and integrate products to create digital services and achieve customer outcomes • Provide life sciences domain expertise – especially regarding life sciences systems and protocols • Provide solution/product documentation (internal and external) • Coordination with global development teams • Train Digital Service Centers / regions on new services • Be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for digital services capabilities in life sciences. • Travel: 10% (some international) Qualifications: 1. A digital and innovative mindset and understanding is required. 2. 3-5 years of experience working with life sciences organizations and industry leading life sciences software and systems. 3. 3 or more years’ experience with application or systems engineering. 4. Experience with integrated solutions leveraging common life sciences protocols such as OPC or Profinet a plus. 5. Experience with building automation, mechanical, security, electrical or other infrastructure systems and associated protocols such as BACnet or Modbus a strong plus. 6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills 7. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience required. 8. Experience with cloud and SaaS applications a strong plus 9. Working knowledge of life science regulations, a plus 10. Proficient in English – written and verbal.
