Job Description

Main Objective of this position:
As a specialist of Global Assignment Management (GAM) global Competence Center, and is responsible for global mobility program, incl. including housing, shipments, temporary living etc.
Responsible for design/co-design responsible benefits topics. Working out standard manuals, work instruction, training materials and ensuring these mobility topics are understood and applied consistently worldwide. Making conceptual improvements to services model & cost optimization.
Providing advisory support to Operational teams and HR BPs worldwide on individual cases.
Main tasks:
Concept Development & Implementation:
- Designing/Co-designing competitive and comprehensive service package (concept) by managing own responsible topics (e.g. Housing, shipment, temporary living etc.) and/or GAM projects related discussions.
- Leading/Co-leading implementation concept by involving all relevant stakeholders worldwide; firmly rooting the benefits package in related GAM processes and systems by coordinating with all related GAM process owners.
- Producing and updating manuals and working documents, and updating knowledge databases to ensure standarded communication of GAM Policies & Programs globally to assignees, HRBPs and business, and an internationally consistent interpretation and application of the Global Mobility Policies.
- Enlisting a wide range of inhouse and external process stakeholders (GAM, HR BPs, local entities, company medical services, corporate security, Daimler Insurance Services, IT…) with the objective of making stakeholders aware of the key to a successful assignment and support the implementation;
- Advising and managing GAM global stakeholders in the planning and implementation of GAM processes
- Devising training measures and running training courses to ensure GAM has the adequate knowledge level on responsible topics
- Providing answers to questions from GAM operational teams and HR BPs.
Managing Service Providers:
- Managing the global service providers by assigning tasks and monitoring the service delivery and review the service performance.
- Driving continuous process improvements to ensure cost and process efficiency and transparency; monitoring provider invoicing.
- Conducting benchmarking survey regularly on benefit package and/or service delivery mode
Providing Tailed Advice:
- Providing tailored advice on policy matters, supporting local entities/HR BPs in addressing local assignment topics; demonstrating a range of possible solutions that support local decisions (e.g. local programs, location policy/guidelines, local solutions etc.);
- Clarifying and coordinating with central departments (i.e. legal, compensation etc.) to guarantee corporate compliance; providing support / guidance on possible alternatives, in particular where no relevant guidelines exist
