About the role

Title: Global Purchasing Buyer –Mechatronics & PCBa

Reports to: Supply Chain Manager

Location: Shanghai, China

Job Description:

Professional:

？ procurement market analysis

？ Advising the business units and manufacturing sites in matters of procurement structure

？ Develop global strategy for mechatronics and local strategy for PCBa to improve price level, supply chain and customs (minimize tariff risks).

？ Evaluation and optimization of national and international supplier structures

？ Risk analysis of existing supply chain arrangements

？ Determination of the overall cost of supply chains; comparison and evaluation of alternatives in terms of suppliers, production locations, or "make or buy" decisions

？ Development / implementation / monitoring of new logistics approaches such as VMI with suppliers for the respective production sites

？ Personal responsibility for contract and price negotiation with relevant suppliers of the commodity

？ Development of procurement strategies for the Group (local & global) to realize cost reduction programs

？ Support of projects and their development

？ Solve bottlenecks in the availability of materials

？ Create strategy based on global purchasing volumes and future projects

？ Ensuring the planned cost reductions in purchased parts within the commodity, create additional cost savings potentials in cooperation with other departments

？ supplier evaluation and monitoring (Performance), selection and care

？ Supplier auditing and enforcement of claims

？ Development of selected suppliers to strategic partners

General

？ Support the identification of key performance indicators and budget

？ Communication with affiliates in all important information as to purchasing, contract and

availability

？ Reporting

Special:

？ Contact person within the group in issues and decisions that are related to strategic purchasing commodity

？ contact person for all questions regarding new production/product developments at suppliers

Required qualifications and skills:

• Commercial studies with high technical background in the field of Mechatronics and PCBa or other appropriately qualified training, comprehensive detailed knowledge of global and local supply markets (component procurement and EMS / CMS) as well as good relationships with manufacturers / suppliers, professional purchasing and negotiating experience, at least 7 years of relevant experience in this international environment in a responsible position, good knowledge of the specific requirements of the automotive industry
• Safe use of SAP as well as excellent language skills in English and any other languages
• Task and the environment appropriate measures, achieve ambitious goals as per KPI and are proficient in the use and pursuit of selfimposed or required performance indicators (KPI).
• To understand people from other cultures and disciplines as well as the different ways of thinking and working needed for positive use in negotiations / discussions as essential for tasks. Skills and personality which establish the basis for constructive external and internal calls and develop long-term relationships. Professional and safe international business dealing.
• Significant diverse procedures using known methods and standards (decision within prescribed "guidelines")
• Differentiation in situations what are required analysis to reach solutions safely and professionally.
