As a Global Category Leader-Electronics & Software you will be responsible for sourcing activities in Electronics Category, in Robotics & Discrete Automation Business Area in Shanghai and Vasteras.

Reporting to the Global Category Manager, you will take full ownership of supplier relationship and related Quality Delivery Cost and Innovation (QDCI) performance.

Your responsibilities

• Analyzing the cost structure, basic technical knowledge, supply market screening and benchmarking and supply risk management
• Managing the partnership development of selected suppliers and evaluating new supplier’s opportunities based on global category strategy. Bringing early technologies proposal to Supply chain Management (SCM) and R&D to contribute to the product technological road map
• Structuring and driving Quarterly Business reviews, Workshop and Negotiation plans at global level. Supervising the supplier performance towards agreed targets and risk mitigation activities
• Defining and implementing (in collaboration with internal stakeholders and supplier) on cost cut programs. Pilot Negotiation of allocated suppliers and aligning with group team activities (Negotiation/Strategy workshop/Distribution/contracts)
• Applying and implementing ABB SCM standards, tools and processes. Contributing to the category strategy definition and executing plans to achieve best performance in terms of Cost (TCO), Cash (PT, VMI), delivery (Lead Time, OTD, Flexibility requirements) and Quality (PPM, SOPR)
• Managing sourcing and RP projects that optimize Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), rationalizing supplier base, improving quality and delivery, reducing supply risk (Dual source) and securing design change
• Managing Request for Quote (RFQ) and leading the category team with Advanced Supplier Quality Engineering (ASQE) and Material planner to make sourcing decisions
• Supporting global National Provider Identifier (NPI) project by bringing SCM value from design stage (ESI). Focusing on collaboration with R&D in BOM definition and management from concept stage

Your background

• 5 years of work experience within sourcing, preferably with electronics and multinational company background
• Experience with SAP relevant modules (preferred SAP Ariba), supplier negotiation and partnership development
• Sound knowledge of Electronics products and component sourcing
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English
• Result orientation, self-discipline, self-motivation and can work under pressure
• Proven Team working and collaboration skills, must be willing to travel (20-30% of the time)
• Working with multi-functional team under multi-culture environment
