Your new responsibilities Management of assigned Electronics commodities across multiple manufacturing locations worldwide Coordinate and lead a virtual global procurement team Foster cross-functional alignment and knowledge exchange within area of responsibility, both internally as well as with suppliers Define, adapt and implement commodity strategy and structure Ensure project and PVO transparency and accurate reporting Negotiation of global, regional, procurement and project agreements and contracts Management of a diverse set of suppliers with activities such as regular evaluations, business reviews, annual negotiations, claim support and supplier development Building and maintaining strong working relationships with preferred suppliers and key business stakeholders Identify particular procurement risks, opportunities and market forces to avoid potential damage/ exploit potential opportunities through tailored risk and change management Contribute to sustainable procurement initiatives such as our “CarbonReduction@Suppliers” Program Make use of data analytics and support advancement of automation in process and interactions with suppliers Your skills and experience Degree in industrial engineering, business administration or equivalent combination of education and experience in related subject areas. Validated experience and successful track record as procurement commodity manager or strategic buyer for electronic components or systems in an international environment As an alternative with a technical background, experience of working with displays and/or HMI, first experience in Procurement and strong interest in negotiation and strategic planning Commercial and contractual experience in negotiating conditions with suppliers Ability to think strategically, creativity in problem solving and business-results oriented Capacity to build trust with internal and external collaborators, within an intercultural environment Strong analytical skills and capacity of understanding and reviewing supply risks Cross-functional experience gained in other functional areas would be beneficial Standout Colleague and willing to take over special tasks which builds added new value for the team Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English and German Who and where we are Find out why Siemens is chosen every year as one of the most popular employers in Switzerland, and get a first impression of a new working environment and the people who could be your new work colleagues.
