To find out more about us check: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=baa_aiJ4L7E As a Global Category Manager, the candidate will have Supply Chain Procurement Category responsibility for the MRO Supplies category ($245m Spend) for the Eaton Enterprise consisting of some 250 global manufacturing locations spread over North American, EMEA, APAC and Latin America. Your main responsibilities: Initiates, develops and executes strategic initiatives to facilitate cross-business synergies and increased leverage across a rationalized set of global and regional preferred supplier partners Negotiates and manages key strategic supplier contracts and relationships working with the regional and shared service centre (SSC) teams Reviews, approves, monitors and reports compliance to category agreements and strategies based upon Eaton SCM strategic directions Develops innovative business solutions, forecasts and commodity projections, and provides mitigation actions as applicable Presents to senior management methods, technical analysis, standards and procurement opportunities that are aligned with SCM/Eaton strategic plans and cost reduction initiatives Identifies and implements innovative solutions to business problems, independently and through cross functional One Eaton teams Benchmark’s procurement processes to develop and implement best practices throughout Eaton and Supply Chain Management Creates alignment between corporate and business unit strategic and financial plans for the Category Ensures compliance of suppliers with Eaton SCM Policies and Programs Supplier Relationship Management - Leads Supplier Business Reviews with strategic suppliers on a regular basis Promotes effective Stakeholder engagement within the function, regional and with the various Business Units Identifying opportunities for Leverage and synergies within the businesses and promoting Corporate solutions to deliver these synergies. Develop the business/division/ledger roadmap for project plan deployment to achieve Profit Plan (PP) targets and overall optimised cost advantage liaising with the execution team to ensure these are delivered on time and to expectations Supplier Relationship Management - Operational point of escalation for deployed Corporate Programs under the SRM program for the IND business units and Capital Suppliers Plan, prepare and execute annual PP planning for the owned spend for the Category, and supports execution with the business cross functional teams Conduct other category manager related activities requested by Manager to support the business needs from time to time Qualifications Your essential skills we are looking for: Education level required This position requires minimum a Bachelors degree. Business/Engineering degree is preferred but not a must. Professional supply chain related certification (e.g. CPM, CPIM)" Years and area of experience required At least 7 years of supply chain experience at a Senior level, previous specific MRO Category Management/Strategic Sourcing Experience is a must Technical knowledge Demonstrated Problem Solving Skills Demonstrated ability to achieve results Experience within a Multi-Location Manufacturing / Assembly plant environment an advantage Acknowledged expert in identifying and understanding current trends in supply chain management specific to indirect materials Exhibits excellent communication, customer service and interpersonal skills necessary to converse with diverse group of stakeholders including senior management (internal and at the suppliers), operations and supply chain management personnel Demonstrates ability in strategic process creation and implementation, knowledge and experience in successfully deploying category strategies and driving cost-out Demonstrates ability to lead cross-functional / regional teams in the development, implementation, and achievement of business results for cross-functional business initiatives and category strategies Must be able to take a leadership role in driving change in the organization Creative thinker and has a vision of how to drive the organization to the next level of strategic category management Experience in managing multiple tasks Has strong motivation and mentoring skills Regional and Global business experience is required with experience in negotiating with global suppliers Must have the ability to directly lead and manage and influence people within the organization without having direct reporting lines #LI-AR2 What you will get from us Eaton’s mission is to improve the quality of life and the environment through the use of power management technologies and services.
