Position Description:
Global Channel Alliance manager will play the critical role in assessing and
developing new or existing opportunities with Global companies in order to
develop the channel ecosystem. Those alliances will cover the traditional IT
players as well as entities that have an interest in the channel ecosystem
where we can leverage strengths of our organization in order to support the
“3S” and “One Lenovo” strategy.
Once the opportunities identified the Alliance manager will have to build the
relationships and act as the front person between our teams and the partner.
As well, the reasonability includes the creation of a business plan for the
specific initiatives
Overall responsibilities
• Mapping and assessment of the existing Channel alliances.
• Provide the overview of the productivity of the current alliances and the
possibilities to expend them.
• Build the strategy of One Lenovo channel alliances in the mid and long term.
• Build the framework of the Global channel alliances including the business
plans and SWOT analysis.
• Communicate with Lenovo internal stakeholders in order to assess the
opportunities or/and risks.
• Act as the front-line communication person with the alliance partners.
• Create and own the communication packages for the new alliance partners.
• Lead the Interlock with the COE, GEOs and Business departments on the
development of the new or existing alliances.
• Establish and maintain appropriate internal control safeguards, compliance
with internal and industry Financial and Audit rules for the newly formed
alliances.
#### Position Requirements:
Solid planning, analytical and soft skills, being able to work and adapt in a
fluid, fast-paced environment.
• Being a real game-changer, who will proactively identify issues and
appropriate escalation paths, with mitigation and strategies for resolution.
• Strategic planning and long-term vision while execution on short term plans
• Strong communication skills and perseverance to collaborate and influence
buy in and support across Lenovo Channel sales team and channel partners.
• Project Management capabilities to drive continuous model improvement
• Keeping the right balance between Internal and External customers, being the
key reference leader for the model, both internally and externally.
• Master’s degree, university degree, bachelor or equivalent in Finance,
Business administration, etc.
• 10 to 15 years of experience in a Business Planning, Strategic development,
or business management roles
• Excellent verbal, analytical, organizational, and written skills
