Global Commercial Excellence Manager (m/f/d)

based in Wiesbaden.

Main Responsibilities:

The Global Commercial Excellence Manager is responsible for the day to day management of the Go-to-Market teams Commercial Solutions.

Abbott’s diverse portfolio & geography mix creates significant commercialisation variances.  Various factors including reimbursement, order entry, access/service channels, and distribution drive businesses into complex channel models.  The Global Commercial Excellence Manager will provide analysis on the design, operations, risk, and ROI associated with these key commercial models to all our global commercial divisions. They will ensure that divisions sales growth, patient/customer support are not only best in class but optimise the Abbott eco-system and drive value.

The role is responsible for the deliverable of the strategy, solutions, and tools within the Commercial Solutions team.

  • Working with the businesses and the wider procurement origination to understand the cost, risk, investment, and ROI on business change in the commercial environment
  • Value Stream Mapping (VSM) the order to cash cycle and all off-branches to understand the commercial and operational effect of change within a process or the design of a completely new process in market shifts.
  • Deploy Lean-Six Sigma principles in Commercial
  • Be the primary touch point for commercially strategic accounts and third parties; develop cost models; manage and implement strategic opportunities, tools and agreements.
  • Provide input and guidance on the most optimum go-to-market approach
  • Create new market opportunities to drive sales growth or margin improvement
  • Support the businesses in sourcing, validating and implementing support services
  • Understand how e-commerce drives sales and its value in differing commercial channels
  • Travel:  up to 30-50%

Your Profile:

  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma and similar tools and methods are required and essential. Lean and six sigma (master) black belt or green belt are a plus
  • Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Business or a related field
  • Around 10 years of experience operating within a fast-paced selling environment, in Commercial Excellence, SFE, finance, sales support or business analytics roles
  • Prior experience in Customer Experience/Service considered an advantage
  • Proven experience of working with complex large data objects
  • Experience in project management; strong ability to multi-task and meet deadlines; detail and goal-oriented
  • Experience in a business facing and/or project manager role where creative thinking, persuasive communication and continued reinforcement of key concepts was critical to success
  • Exposure to project delivery methodologies in an agile environment such as Scrum
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English.
  • Financial and budget management experience and skills
  • Demonstrated success and leadership in project management
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to attain business objectives
