The role will include the development, alignment and implementation of a full standalone concept for the global procurement of indirect materials and services in an independent Yunex Traffic supply chain organisation (including potential external business partner outsourcing services). What are my responsibilities? Global management of the indirect material and services commodity, fostering cross-functional alignment across the regions to ensure best in class practices in the new standalone Yunex Traffic business. Creating and implementing global commodity and pooling strategies based on comprehensive demand, market and supplier analysis. Defining and establishing negotiation concepts and strategies to increase savings. Providing reliable reporting to ensure transparency of purchasing volumes and savings. Promoting the use of electronic procurement systems (eRfX, eAuction/ eBidding) and improve the efficiency of purchasing processes through digitalization. Negotiation and documentation of global framework agreements. Identifying particular procurement risks and market forces to mitigate potential damage to the business. Supplier management, including selection and qualification, regular supplier reviews and strategic evaluations, alongside supplier development to obtain and develop the best suppliers and to ensure an optimum supply chain. What do I need to qualify for the role? ● Previous and demonstrable experience either within Procurement or a similar commercial function, ideally with responsibility for indirect materials and services. ● Ability to be highly analytical and operationally focused ● Have strong stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills ● Be able to act strategically and manage a broad range of topics ● Have an innovative and creative mindset with the ability to think outside-of-the-box and to challenge conventional approaches ● Be highly organised and able to forward plan effectively ● Have a proven track record in delivering continuous improvement ● The ability to adapt and change directly when needed and be flexible About us We’re Siemens.
