Your new area of responsibility - meaningful and future-oriented

This role is responsible for helping to build awareness of Siemens Digital Industries Software in select parts of the Europe zone through earning coverage of Siemens Software and our solutions in trade, business and IT and social media. In addition, this position will take a lead role in building and handling an EMEA-focused social media program. Key responsibilities and tasks may include localization and distribution of media materials, media relations, scheduling and managing interviews, social media content creation, serving as a company spokesperson and working across Siemens and our ecosystem to find stories and see opportunities to tell these stories to new audiences. 

  • Develop and execute PR plan for focus country/zone in close coordination with execution, local business team and global Siemens DI SW communications teams
  • Coordinate use of local twitter channels and global Siemens social media presences to engage with target audiences through organic and paid social media campaigns
  • Collaborates closely with Siemens Regional Companies and affiliates
  • Identify and engage relevant media targets; build relationships with key media and influencers
  • Development, editing, localization and distribution of press releases, media alerts, blogs and other press materials
  • Place articles, white papers and success stories as contributed content in target media
  • Work with internal partners to identify and develop customer-focused announcements and success stories
  • Lead external vendors including agencies, translation services and content producers to improve impact of program
  • Assist in and own execution of paid social media marketing and advertising; collaborate with other Siemens Digital Industries Software to improve investment in paid social across EMEA zone
  • Support local spokespersons in use of global messaging; ensure they are prepared for media interviews. Facilitate interviews between media and Siemens spokespeople
  • Supervise news coverage for Siemens mentions and coverage 
  • Reporting and supervising coverage and results against important metrics

Your qualifications - validated and adequate

  • Significant experiences in one of the following areas are required: Public Relations, Media Relations, Social Media or Digital Marketing
  • You should be proficient in English plus at least one other language with preference given to those with abilities in Russian, Dutch/Flemish, Polish, Italian or Spanish
  • Proven experience working with industry trade press with successful track record of placing stories
  • Ideally you have a good understanding of media landscape and trends combined with strong presentation and organizational skills
  • We are searching for a strategic and creative problem solver who is not afraid of sophisticated technologies
  • B2B Software industry experience is strongly preferred. Experience working with and understanding one or more of the following industries is a plus: PLM, Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM), Electronic Design Automation (EDA), Internet of Things (IoT) or Software as a Service (SaaS) 
  • Must be able to interact culturally and expertly with colleagues at all levels in this sophisticated, lively and multinational environment
