AstraZeneca (AZ) has a bold aspiration to improve the lives of 200 million patients delivering 10 new medicines to patients by 2020. This role is critical in contributing to AZ’s long-term ambition. The major focus of the role is proactively monitoring and managing AZ’s risk exposure for customer facing digital assets (such as web sites, mobile apps and social media) in partnership with many key global functions and external vendors.
AstraZeneca (AZ) uses digital media extensively in all parts of its business. The digital estate is expected to grow in complexity over the next few years to support the corporate strategy focusing on the patient.
At AstraZeneca, we appreciate that there are global risks associated with its expanded use of digital media and are committed to ensuring that the response to these risks keeps pace with technical developments. Collaboration with AZ’s vendors and business areas on key initiatives including digital asset estate management, compliance with regulations and guidelines both internal and external to the company, and partnerships with the marketing teams are required to drive data quality and performance.
This role will work across Global Commercial Operations, Compliance, and Global Corporate Information Technology (IT). In addition to understanding and making recommendations to improve processes and communications, the candidate will be required to present findings to different groups within AstraZeneca.
Major Responsibilities:
Contribute to the delivery of the global digital governance strategy by identifying areas of service growth
Deliver on key capabilities to support markets' and brands' digital strategies
Manage the global digital catalogue as the single source of external digital asset information
Deliver high data quality standards for the global digital catalogue
Contribute to the assessment of current asset monitoring efforts and define a roadmap to drive more efficient and simplified services
Analyse and promote business metrics and insights for assets to support stakeholder discussions and requests
Build awareness of the risk and response to emerging digital trends within the global marketing area
Lead and provide support on projects related to the governance and compliance of global digital assets (websites, mobile applications, social media platforms/accounts)
Interact with asset owners, digital/regional leads and IT leads
Create supporting content for key senior stakeholder interactions
Manage changes to digital content policy standards to align with changes in digital activities and legal and regulatory rules
Deliver digital content-related support including training and communication for policy language and guideline changes to markets, functions and brand teams
Partner with 3rd party suppliers for day-to-day service activities
Minimum requirements:
Education:
Bachelors of Science
Proven track record of delivery of global projects and the development of pragmatic solutions
Ability to work in a team environment
Knowledge of key industry standards and regulations that influence digital media communications
Proven experience of change management
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred requirements:
Experience of pharmaceutical sales and marketing operations/Commercial IT platforms, risk management and business performance management
