The Global Care & Treats Dog/Cat Portfolio Leader provides strategic direction and technical leadership for the Care & Treats Global Innovation Centre Cat/Dog Programme.  They will develop and deliver a global innovation pipeline in partnership with relevant business functions, setting global standards in product design, development and performance.  Leading the global Cat/Dog GIC product development team, and acting as a key member of the Care & Treats GIC leadership team.

What would be your key responsibilities?

• Development and implementation of the global innovation strategy for the Dog/Cat portfolios in partnership with Portfolio Boards
• Leadership of programmes for the Cat / Dog Technologies including opportunity identification, project definition, development and timely delivery.
• Work in partnership with key science and technology functions across Pet Nutrition and Royal Canin (e.g. cross-GIC capability teams) to ensure alignment and relevancy of their respective programmes, and where necessary, to support timely delivery of milestones to enable successful delivery of future innovation/renovation pipelines
• Setting global standards in in product design, specifications and performance
• Developing and managing knowledge in raw materials, recipes, and product/process design, to ensure the delivery of products that perfectly meet consumer, customer and pet needs.
• Proactively manage Intellectual Property risks and opportunities.
• Leadership and development of up to 8 direct reports, driving engagement, developing skills & competence, and a strong talent pipeline within the Global Innovation Centre
