Position Description:
Primary purpose of this role is to be a Global Education Software Solutions
Manager for the Education vertical within the Industry Solutions organization.
The Software Solutions Manager is responsible for solution ideation, planning,
development, and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including
gathering and prioritizing solution and customer requirements, defining the
solution vision, delivering successful MVP and POC iterations and working
closely with operations, engineering, sales, marketing, and support to ensure
revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met, including fulfillment and
ongoing sales enablement efforts.
The Software Solutions Manager will work within the Education Vertical team to
align solutions to the company’s overall strategy and goals and work directly
with internal and external partner organizations to bring innovative and
disruptive solutions from Ideation all the way through EoL/Gen2. The scope of
engagement includes, but is not limited to: Strategic HW/SW Partners,
Global/Geo Finance, Legal, Security, PC/DCG/MBG BU’s, Lenovo SW, Accessories
BU, Global Supply Chain, Global/Geo Procurement, Global/Geo Services,
Global/Geo Sales, Global/Geo Marketing, Global/Geo Operations, and BT/IT. Our
Education solutions are focused on K12 and Higher Education global offerings
and the emphasis is on leading edge solutions such as IoT integration, AI and
personalized learning, ARVR, etc.
Key responsibilities will be to:
1\. Define the solution strategy and own roadmap
2\. Deliver MRDs with prioritized features and corresponding justification
3\. Lead the design of new solutions with internal & external partners
4\. Run beta and pilot programs with early-stage products and samples
5\. Communicate and coordinate offerings with global teams
6\. Develop effective business cases and GTM strategies
7\. Lead the operational deployment of new solutions across the globe
8\. Develop and deploy sales training and ongoing sales enablement support
9\. Represent Lenovo Education to internal and external audiences
The role will engage on a day-to-day basis with key contacts within partner
organizations across the ecosystem (e.g., Microsoft, Intel, Google, tech
start-ups, etc) to flesh out e2e solutions. The role will also work closely
with internal business units (e.g., PC/Tablet, Software, Services,
Accessories) to ensure the foundational Lenovo HW is Best in Class. The role
will present status, results, and recommendations to Director and VP levels.
The candidate must be able to problem solve daily, and engage senior
management with effective, efficient communication.

#### Position Requirements:
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree (Business and/or Information Technology preferred)
• 7+ Years software solutions with product management or related experience
• Demonstrated success defining and launching solutions and/or products
• Flexibility to work in multiple time zones for global coverage
• 5% travel
Preferred Qualifications:
• AI, IoT, AR/VR and other leading high technology solutions experience
• MBA
• Education industry expertise, speaking and thought leadership
• Strong project management skills
• Strong Operational and Fulfillment skills
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills in an autonomous, leadership
capacity
• High degree of creativity to find new ways to create and alter processes
• Spirit of entrepreneurship requiring high-energy, proactivity, and
teaming/collaboration
• Keen understanding of country/region complexities for global implementations
• Ability to lead cross functional teams
