This is what truly matters to us. The Point-of-Care (POC) business develops and sustains systems for in vitro diagnostic (IVD) instruments for point of care and laboratory medical testing. Join our team now at Siemens Healthineers as the Global Head of Project Management Office for POC R&D. This position is part of the POC R&D leadership team and reports to the Head of R&D for the business. As the Global Head of Program Management Office for POC R&D you will be responsible for: Managing a team of up to 15 Program and Project Managers working across all franchises on assay/consumable and instrumentation initiatives Defining the Program Management strategy for POC to ensure transparency and efficient delivery Interfacing with POC Functional Managers and Business Line leadership for resource management and project prioritization Establishing and maintaining the POC Program Management operating model consistent with the broader POC operating model (e.g. resource and budget management tools) and ensuring that projects are run in an optimal manner Coordinating across functions to resolve project impediments Track and communicating roadmap/pipeline metrics, while maintaining transparency between project teams and the Franchises; identifying actions to optimize pipeline performance as changes occur Owning the processes for project and product risk management. Accountable for facilitation of dFMEAs, other risk management tools and for creation and maintenance of the product risk management files Supporting the Head of R&D to ensure effective development operations. For example: Assist in the creation of the R&D strategy (e.g. conduct meetings, collect and summarize input, facilitate cross-functional buy-in). Align to the POC and Dx strategy, facilitate identification and prioritization of initiatives necessary to realize the strategy. Align with available headcount and budget, establish an initiative roadmap/pipeline. Facilitate cross-functional buy-in to the plan. Own and drive continuous improvement in R&D and deliver against agreed-upon productivity targets. Own and drive required reporting. Implement, own and maintain business process and tools relevant for R&D (e.g., ownership and maintenance of the Product Development Process). and leading internal improvement projects to drive business efficiencies planning, directing, coordinating and delivering project deliverables through the entire project life cycle This position may suit you best if you are familiar with what is below, and would like to do develop your career with Healthineers: You can coordinate across disciplines and integrate all aspects of business as they impact development projects including negotiation of scope, roles and responsibilities, timelines and resources You have strong analytical skills to assess situations and drive decision making You have experience providing strategic leadership to complex, diverse projects in the IVD space You have deep understanding of project management in the IVD industry, ideally within POC settings Required education, experience & skills: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required 10+ years of experience managing complex projects related to medical devices, IVD instrument and/or assays Working knowledge of FDA, ISO, IVDD and IVDR regulations desired At Siemens Healthineers, we value those who dedicate their energy and passion to a greater cause.
