As Global Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Manager you will drive health and safety culture and performance in Global Divisions, as well as a strong development in sustainability overall. You will be working in close collaboration with Global and Local management in the divisions as well as global and local HSE network. Adding value by creating effective communication channels and methods to provide advice and support for global and local in the divisions. Committed and responsible in implementing common performance improvement programs and practices and report on the performances of your respective organization.
You will be part of Global division's Operations team and report to Global Operations Manager.
Preferred location is one of our major sites. (MODP: Bangalore, Beijing, Helsinki, New Berlin, MOSD: Bangalore, Beijing, Jüri, Helsinki, New Berlin, Lodz, Turgi)
Your responsibilities
- Ensuring the respective organization operates in alignment with ABB HSE standards and policies.
- Establishing, implementing and maintaining Division specific audit and risk programs and ensuring effectiveness of them at operations.
- Ensuring ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 3rd party certification across operations of global division
- Leading the functional area appropriately organized, staffed, skilled and directed.
- Living ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.
Your background
- OHS Management "Degree" with indicative professional qualification or equivalent practice and experience of HSE/OHS management.
- At least 5+ years’ experience working at a senior level in a global organization.
- Demonstrated experience of leading a team or teams of employees.
- Demonstrated skills and experience in health, safety and environmental management.
