Job Description
Location is Flexible in the USA Siemens Large Drives Business Unit is looking for a Global Key Account Manager that will be responsible for the development, growth, profitability and maximization of the assigned key customers across Siemens' organizational units, focusing on LDA portfolio and Mining solutions. Report to Segment Head globally, while located in region close to customer decision making location. Responsibilities: Generates knowledge on the customer's specific strategy and its political and business environment. Analyses customer's markets, position, needs and investigates specific business opportunities for customer related product, solution and service portfolio. Defines and implements the account business plan (3 to 5 years), targeting business volume and profitability Prepares customer contacts, builds and maintains a sound customer focused network on all strategically relevant hierarchical levels, including the C-Suite. Generates customer specific products, solutions and service portfolio concepts. Initiates, facilitates and contributes to contract negotiations for products, projects and service Leads customer complaints as a point of escalation, if necessary. Coordinates multi-national opportunities, by leading international collection teams focusing on maximizing value add for Siemens, independently for the sales location Evaluates customer needs and builds on customized technical solutions with the support of engineering teams or R&D groups Works as a business developer, identifying opportunities and driving them from early stages into the ordering phase Work collaboratively with sales and project management to support Siemens in all phases of the project Maximize customer relationship with Siemens, reaching partnership level with recurrent business What will make you successful in this role: Strong know how and 10-15 years experience in minerals (mining and cement) segment Deep technical knowledge on electrical solutions and large drives applications (examples: grinding, minerals plants electrification and automation, excavation and transportation solutions for minerals, digitalizations, motors and drives, etc) Skillset Electrical Engineering desirable, Technical and Administrative backgrounds also accepted Sales or account management expertise for at least 10 years Ambitious spirit Strategic judgment and Consulting capabilities, anticipating customer needs and proposing solutions Proactive Pragmatic approach, gets-hand-on interpersonal skills Communication skills: high level going into details when needed Results and quality oriented Have a Customer focused orientation Managerial capabilities being able to coordinate several projects, regions and partners Sophisticated knowledge of intercultural communication and collaboration Global mentality Language know how: proficient English as a must, additional languages considered as a plus (e.g. Spanish, German…) At Siemens, we are committed to an ownership culture, in which every employee takes personal responsibility for our company’s success.
