Eaton’s North America Financial Services Division is currently seeking a Global Lease Accounting Manager to join our team. This position is based out of Montreal, Quebec. Position Overview: The Global Lease Accounting Manager serves as the functional leader of the Lease Accounting processes and team. This position is responsible for ensuring the Lease Accounting team is focused on ensuring compliance with ASC842, driving out evergreen spend, centralizing leasing activities to drive more favorable leasing agreements, actively manage the relationship with the lease account software provider, and work cross-functionally to partner with other Eaton functions. This individual will actively identify and lead continuous improvement projects covering all areas of the lease lifecycle. The Global Lease Accounting Manager will work directly with the Lease Accounting Supervisor to build organizational capabilities by actively developing the team in areas of accounting, customer service, lease management and systems knowledge. In this function you will: Leads and develops Global Lease Accounting team Directs the development and update of procedure documentation to ensure compliance with internal and external accounting/reporting requirements Achieves Operational Excellence through training department on effective communication and timely resolution of customer tickets, in support of Eaton GFSS Customer Experience metrics. Ensure execution of Eaton's Lease Accounting strategy including: Compliance with USGAAP and ASC842 through complete and accurate lease data Improves Eaton's evergreen leases based on agreed upon KPIs Centralize leasing activities through generating RFP's for leased equipment and negotiating favorable terms with lease financing companies Identification and implementation of continuous improvement projects having a primary emphasis on cost savings and process automation Working and communicating cross functionally with both international and domestic Eaton sites / teams on all lease accounting matters. Supervising projects and ensuring the team takes ownership to complete projects on time and with zero early life failures. Support various Eaton initiatives, such as M&A, Legal Entity consolidations and SAP conversions Leads month end process to ensure accuracy of entries and completion within target timeframe Ensures the team completes sufficient testing for each system release cycle to minimize impact to close timing and financial accuracy. Prepares periodic update of balanced scorecard for Lease Accounting and conducts reviews to ensure alignment and achievement of goals Why work at Eaton? Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business from an accredited institution, Minimum of 7 years of finance/accounting experience; with at least 3 years of experience in Lease Accounting. Minimum of 1 year of management experience Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future.
