We are now looking for a Global Liquidity Manager to be part of the Treasury team at Booking.com. The appointed individual will measure, manage and implement liquidity and transactional planning to support global liquidity needs across Booking.com and subsidiaries of Booking Holdings Inc (“The Group”).

The Global Liquidity Manager reports to the Deputy Treasurer – Global Investments. The appointed individual will play a central role in developing optimal liquidity planning across the Group while developing and executing transactional strategies in relation to trade and debt financing and informal restructuring inclusive of balance sheet solutions and cost reduction proposals.

B. Responsible

  • Providing advice on capital transactions, and business change decisions for the structuring of optimal liquidity solutions;
  • Steer and advise on optimal cash management structures for entities across the Group;
  • Aid in the development of liquidity forecasting requirements across the business;
  • Review and improve internal controls in relation to core operational tasks for cash and liquidity management to ensure best practice processes are developed, enhanced and adhered to;
  • Drive process optimization and system automation inclusive of automated forecasting solutions;
  • Validation and improvement of Management reporting in relation to key liquidity and cash management metrics;
  • Monitor, improve and review rolling forecast models and track forecasted results versus actuals, providing insights and rationale for key variances;
  • Support in the expansion of cashpool structures and In-House Bank scale up across The Group;
  • Project manager for a range of transaction and advisory work across complex ad hoc projects with multiple stakeholders;
  • Review and propose suitable internal debit and credit interest rates to support cashpool and In-House Bank expansion while ensuring arm’s length principles are applied;
  • Perform ad-hoc projects, tasks and analysis to help support decisions, resolve issues or support other business needs relating to liquidity planning;
  • Investigate and implement Trade Finance solutions to support business needs where required;
  • Think creatively to create and propose innovative and more effective ways to aid working capital and debt facilitates management;
  • Lead annual budget exercise for the Treasury department and work with FP&A to monitor spend versus forecasted submissions and analyzing the P&L impact;
  • Stay up to date on any regulatory changes that will impact treasury cash and liquidity activities within a global context and suggest strategies to ensure adherence and to manage risk;
  • Understand the liquidity needs of the business, preparing analysis to support business decisions and capital allocation.

B.Experienced

  • 5+ years working experience preferably obtained through direct employment in Corporate Treasury environment (Non Financial / Financial Institution) and/or transactional services experience obtained from one of the Big Four Accounting and Advisory Firms.
  • Master degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
  • Proven track record in cash and liquidity management, forecasting and capital planning and a preference for a strong accounting background;
  • Direct experience with major TMS; (e.g. Reval, SAP, SAP In -House bank experience) is a plus
  • Strong excel and analytical skills;
  • Strong passion for innovation and technology;
  • Previous project management experience is preferred and an ability to demonstrate historic performance in implementing innovative solutions to enhance the Cash and Liquidity function;
  • Excellent English speaker with strong communication skills, and comfortable dealing with all levels of seniority;
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and across multiple internal stakeholders (Financial Systems, Legal, Tax, Corporate and Local Accounting teams) to deliver successful project outcomes;
  • Able to demonstrate relentless tenacity to drive business objectives, implement change management and deliver results;
  • Ability to demonstrate previous experience in delivering operational turnaround strategies and the development of liquidity planning scenarios;
  • Experience and comfortable dealing, presenting and communicating with senior management.
