What you will do
Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. The Global Meetings Audit Manager will be responsible for managing the audit process for US meetings, ensuring outsourced supplier compliance to Amgen policies and audit requirements, including HCP Sunshine Act guidelines. The Global Meetings Audit Manager will provide audit training and oversight in OUS regions.
- Audits all outsourced billing backup and budgets for US Meetings.
- Reviews program hotel contracts and confirms that all terms and concessions are reflected in final bills.
- Tracks and reports on audit findings and monetary value of lost savings and discrepancies.
- Purchase Order Research/Reconciliation
- Maintain and enhance Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for the 3rd party payment and approval processes.
- Develop billing training processes for outsourced suppliers
- Maintains frequent external contact with suppliers, and hotels.
- Provides training, support and guidance for Global Audit process.
- Creates and maintains Standard Operating Procedures for meetings audit. (SOP documentation).
- Maintains strict confidentiality of employee, financial and company records.
- Works with Audit and Compliance to ensure the minimum requirements are met.

Minimum Requirements
Doctorate degree
OR
Master’s degree and 2 years of relevant experience
OR
Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of relevant experience
OR
Associate’s degree and 10 years of relevant experience
OR
High school diploma / GED and 12 years of relevant experience

- Audit the final billing, invoice backup, and budget entries for all HCP-attended meeting and large SMM programs.
- Compare hotel contract terms and concessions to hotel bills, assuring terms and concessions are reflected.
- Audit final budget summaries and savings capture forms to confirm that both are accurate and entered into the client tracking system correctly.
- Communicate errors to outsourced suppliers, confirm corrections are made, and track corrections.
- Track discrepancies in the system and provide reports as required.
- 50% - Create and manage global audit process, 40% - US Meeting Operations and 10% - Monthly Global CMC Audits
- Provide training on audit process.
- Assure all regions have consistent operating procedures.
