Global Portfolio Marketing Director - Pet Specialty Retail

Royal Canin

 

Location: Aimargues (30 minutes from Montpellier)

Contract: permanent contract

That’s why Royal Canin Vision provides best in class portfolio, to bring the most precise nutritional solution for each Cat & Dog need, the main role of the Global Marketing Director is to lead and design compelling and comprehensive Demand creation strategy and portfolio activation plans that grow the category and the business, that drive premiumization and that help retailers turn to digital/omnichannel, delivering meaningful experiences and needed services & recommendation. 

 

What would be your key responsibilities?

  • Lead the go-to-market strategy and execution of Royal Canin Healthy Pet portfolio through efficient on & off-line demand creation & activation plans addressing the main barriers to penetration, in order to deploy the global strategy in all regions and markets
  • Design efficient launch packages supporting innovation, develop activation plans for existing portfolio, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and leveraging all demand levers such as pricing/SRM, portfolio management, pack format strategies, portfolio/channel mix …
  • Ensure x-pillars /x-functional and/or x-species consistency and collaboration when relevant
  • Monitor the Pet Specialty Retail category/ competition/ Royal Canin portfolio performance in Pet Specialty Retail off and online, worldwide, to provide accurate and meaningful business/ category analysis and identify Pet Specialty Retail current and future needs
  • Design Transversal Demand Strategies (Pricing, Recruitment, Sampling, Pack/ format ...) in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
  • Oversee the development and implementation of activation / and the “after-launch/ after-activation” analysis
  • Be a great line manager that recruits, engages, develops and maximizes the performance of the team and promotes new talents
  • Be the custodian and co-pilot of the RC Healthy Pet Portfolio within Royal Canin Demand organization

 

 

What are we looking for?

1. Eucation & Professional Qualifications

  • Strong marketing experience (10 years +)
  • Local or regional experience in leveraging demand creation tools with proven success
  • Expertise on strategic marketing with international scope
  • Successfully developing associates
  • Deep knowledge of the petcare category and/or health category
  • Fluent in English

2. Knowledge/Experience

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.  Must be able to influence and motivate at all levels within the business in order to achieve objectives.
  • Must be proactive, high energy, detailed-oriented when appropriate, results-oriented and willing to initiate and nurture change.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Comprehensive understanding of OGSM, Value Creation Model strategy and Enabling Behaviours
  • Well-developed organization skills to manage multiple projects and priorities, as well as multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to make sound decisions with minimal supervision.
  • Strong analytical capabilities coupled with the ability to identify issues, obtain mutual agreement as to the resolution and implement change.
  • Must have a high degree of self-direction with the ability to constantly seek innovative ways to perform tasks in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Good judgement for business opportunities
