Job Description

The Global Process Lead will drive process standardisation & process improvement across AstraZeneca’s HR organisation, putting customers at the heart of everything we do. Working with the wider HR organisation to review global/local processes, drive automation and global alignment in order to improve the efficiencies across the HR function.  Works closely with the regional HR services teams and our global process network, to build a better understanding of the importance of global process delivery and help drive a lean / process mindset across the organisation.

Typical Accountabilities

  • Supports the Global Process Lead on HROS projects in progressing the next generation of HR Service Centres and associated tools and processes
  • Works with GPO’s to identify, analyze, and improve existing business processes, looking to standardise globally and automate where possible
  • Review global processes against criteria for offshoring / onshoring and make recommendations to GPOs and HROS Global process lead on optimal delivery location for global processes
  • Work with GPOs to transition global standardised processes to HR regional service centres
  • Work with HROS Project team on delivery of next generation of ServiceNow – providing support for Programe Lead and Global Process lead in determining optimal design and working with GPOs and country teams to develop optimal workflows and supporting links to knowledge
  • Supports the GPO’s in maintaining detailed process documentation in relevant BPM system, ensuring processes are updated and signed-off
  • Maintains the global HR Process Hierarchy
  • Assists GPO’s in scheduling and facilitating design sessions when required
  • Assists with testing global processes and next generation ServiceNow technology and workflows  with customers and HR
  • Provides process training for the employees and process owners that administer the HR processes, including training on enhanced ServiceNow technology
  • Works with colleagues in other Enabling Functions to facilitate the integraton of cross-functional processes and consistent adoption of Business Process Management standards
  • Supports HR Services leadership in collation of regular HR performance reporting, working with Reporting team and other stakeholders, to ensure timely production of reports
  • Ensures that required service level measures are identified for all key and relevant processes, working with GPO’s where gaps are identified
  • Acts as HR Orbus iServer superuser, collaborating with colleagues from other functions as part of the enterprise BPM governance
  • Collects and analyses process performance data from multiple sources, including customers, to inform process improvement priorities
  • Acts as a central point to receive process improvement ideas and funnels to appropriate GPO/stakeholder group
  • Provides support to track all projects managed through HROS
  • Provides Project management support as required to HROS projects

Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Essential

  • Educated to degree standard or equivalent work experience
  • Can demonstrate experience in working in a global environment, managing work between different functions
  • Experience of operating in HR or a business service environment
  • Good Written and spoken communications
  • Process mapping expertise
  • Customer oriented with a service mind-set
  • Active listener and good problem solver
  • Highly committed and prepared to go the extra mile
  • Working with multiple stakeholder groups in a global environment

Desirable

  • HR background
  • Understanding and experience of using HR technology
  • Experience of involvement in process design projects
  • Lean or Six Sigma training
  • AZ experience
  • Flexibility – able to adapt working style to support programme needs
