Job Description
Job Summary The purpose of this position is to bring rigor and governance in the new program introduction and new supplier selection processes. This position will ensure that manufacturing processes are setup with high levels of stability and capability to ensure the on time, on cost, and on quality delivery of parts to our customers. The position will be reporting the VP Global Procurement and will be a key driver to work with Global Procurement and business category teams to bring in efficiency in the overall new supplier selection and introduction process. A key deliverable of this position is rigorous adherence to the ESSP process with full collaboration with categories, EIIC, and COE. Job Responsibilities Overall Accountability to drive the organization to achieve robust new supplier introduction with on time and on quality delivery of products to our customers by utilixng the ESSP process. Develop a deep understanding of category, business, and new suppliers cost drivers to promote a meaningful debate and challenge of forecasts and actual performance Proactively identify gaps in the Quality & Delivery performance of Supply Base and highlight open gaps , and define clear actions and ownership. Work with cross functional team on weekly/monthly/quarterly basis to identify delivery challenges and problem solve issues Systematically identify and manage risks with respect to the supply base and more importantly new product / process introductions. Build Strong relationships across cross functional teams to drive performance and create a culture of governance Be an enabler to bridge the gaps in organization with respect procurement Key KPI's Qualifications Education level required Bachelor’s degree (Technical & Engineering Degrees are preferred), with project management, problem solving knowledge is preferred Years and area of experience required Minimum 10-12 years’ of experience working with cross functional teams in procurement, materials, manufacturing, engineering, finance, etc.. Technical knowledge Lean, Six Sigma, Problem Solving, and Program management skill set with key focus on execution is critical for the role Soft skills Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, from associates to the leadership Ability to communicate clearly & effectively in person , via e-mail and over phone Proficient in the development and tracking of internal metrics Strong project and time management, organizational, and analytical skills.
