Procurement actively leads the sourcing of over $9BN of goods and services needed every year by AZ, building relationships with reputable suppliers.
As a Portfolio Project Manager, you will be responsible for the team of 2-3 individuals who will have to together with you drive projects arising from Operational Global Procurement Services (OGPS) but also wider Procurement (especially Strategy & Operational Excellence team). You will have to present strong communication skills as will operate with senior stakeholders. There will be a strong expectation that the job holder will act as an ambassador of OGPS, confident and capable of talking about any element of OGPS & procurement service catalogue.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Identify and deliver improvements to all processes owned or operated by OGPS in order to eliminate waste, speed up delivery, remove unnecessary variation and/or add additional value. Ensure that you leverage and incorporate internal & external best practice
- Identify where we can implement Robotics Process Automation Solutions to remove the need for manual intervention or search for opportunities to transfer activities to TGPS (Transactional Global Procurement Services) to improve the business outcome
- Develops and manages the management information system that captures the performance of OGPS and enables Leadership Team to recognize improvements achieved and areas for additional focus.
- Risk management of OGPS function
- Creates and implements Communication strategy as well as drive execution
- Agree project plans including activities, resources, costs, roles, responsibilities and quality assurance and accountable for the delivery of projects/programmes on time and on budget
- Manages relationships with key business stakeholders to ensure business requirements are effectively captured and committed to project objectives
- Manage and motivate project teams, plan work assignments and schedules and ensure deliverables are completed on time and within budget. Guide and monitor work performance
Essential Requirements
- University degree preferred.
- Experience of managing projects/programmes
- Proven ability to manage change
- Experience of working application of policies, procedures and guidelines
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Collaborative management style, responsive, considerate, flexible, assertive and personable
- Strong influencing and negotiation skills.
- Experience in designing, implementing and monitoring KPIs as well as presenting outcome and proposing recommendations
- Excellent oral and written English (Polish is not a must) communication skills to provide clear messages to all levels within AstraZeneca.
- Desire to work as part of a strong team.
