AstraZenecaSweden - gothenburg, more...Update time: May 28,2020
Job Description

Are you an experienced Program or Project Leader with a Scientific or Medical background?  Would you like to join a company where we put patients first and strive to meet their unmet needs worldwide? Join us and see what science can do!

At AstraZeneca, we believe in the potential of our people and allow you opportunities to develop beyond what you ever thought possible. We will make the most of your skills and passion by actively supporting you to see what you can achieve, and stretch your boundaries no matter where you start with us.

At Late Respiratory & Immunology (Late R&I), part of the BioPharmaceutical R&D unit, we are driven by innovation and our dedication to make a real-life difference for patients’ lives. That difference starts with you.

Building on a 50-year heritage in respiratory care, our ambition is to transform the treatment of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) by driving earlier, biology-led treatment, eliminating preventable asthma attacks, and removing COPD as a top-three leading cause of death.

Underpinning chronic lung diseases is an altered immune system. We are following the science of common pathways and underlying disease drivers from respiratory disease into immunology-driven disease areas.

The disease areas we’re targeting include rheumatology (including type 1 interferon-driven diseases such as lupus), dermatology, gastroenterology and systemic eosinophilic-driven diseases. Our ambition is to achieve disease modification and durable remission in these diseases for millions of patients worldwide.

Here, you will get the opportunity to work in a truly international environment, within a world-renowned environment of delivering new medicines. You will work with your clinical colleagues and meet with key opinion leaders, alongside first class basic and translational scientists - in addition to experts in regulatory, commercial and medical marketing.

This includes creating business cases for governance endorsement including investment decisions for new clinical programs, decisions to file regulatory submissions and commercialize the product or indication and subsequent LCM.  In addition, you will ensure that additional program elements are in place to maximize success, including RWE, medical, and additional scientific/mechanistic studies.

A strong, inclusive, creative and visible leadership style will be essential to successfully lead and nurture the cross-functional GPT. You will grow and leverage your network of key stakeholders and experts to collaborate and win together for the benefit of patients.

You will have the overall responsibility to ensure appropriate governance and compliance to protect AstraZeneca´s rights, data, and intellectual Property
