The Global Product Specialist is responsible to define the new product & solution specification according to the market requirement, track the product development schedule, targeted cost structure, product & marketing tools delivery etc. to match customers’ requirement. The Global Product Specialist also manages the existing product lifecycle, provides market promotion materials, etc. finally ensures that the product roadmap follows the global division strategy and business plan.
Your responsibilities
- Understanding China Building Automation market requirements and leading the market analysis, analyzing market situation, competitor, government policy, value chain, market trend, new technology/functions, product gaps, target cost analysis, etc.
- Building up China Building Automation solution for commercial application. (HVAC, energy management, building management system etc.).
- Working with the digital product management team, creating business model for BA digital service (i.e. subscription for value-adding service for existing BA customers and new bidding project).
- Leading new product development (e.g. sensors for HVAC) and managing roadmap for aligning with R&D platform (defining target segment, collecting market/product requirement, business planning for target areas, payback, pricing & positioning, setting priorities).
- Owning the technical and market specification for HVAC product/solution and determining a product/solution business plan that supports sustainable growth.
- Leading PLM process,analysing current product/solution/service, defining and tracking performance metrics, planning appropriate measures (e.g. enhancements, cost reductions, phase-outs) and making decisions on product/solution/service obsolescence and end-of life for ensuring current and future market requirements are met and maximizing profitability.
- Initiating and driving product market communication strategy and supporting CN marketing & sales team for promoting and achieving business target.

Your background
- Must have C.S. or IT Bachelor, with solid technical background and rich experience in Building Automation (HVAC, BIM, BMS) industry.
- 3+ years of business experience, e.g. product management or technical architect/engineer role on BA industry.
- Must be familiar with building automation HVAC solutions and applications (BACnet, Modbus, KNX, etc.), background from Johnson Control, Honeywell, SIEMENS, Schneider are preferred.
- Understanding digital solution and product is a plus, e.g. building Management or Energy Management SaaS offering.
- Good reading, writing and verbal communication skills in English language required.
- Must have proven ability to influence internal and external customers & cross-functional teams without formal authority, excellent communication skills, accurate, and well organized.
