This is a Global Program Manager role reporting to the Global Product Manager MV 3410 in the Business Area – Electrification, Distribution Solutions located in Xiamen, China. Lead strategic product development projects throughout their entire phase from concept development to market launch.

Your responsibilities

• Leading the product development project team, establishing the project execution approach and oversees execution and control activities for both internal and external resources to accomplish project goals.
• Defining, jointly with Global Product Manager and Product Group Technology Manager, all project plan documents, including scope, financial plans, schedule and risk management plans.
• Ensuring that the project follows execution best practices and ABB R&D guidelines, effectively monitoring and controlling project progress and efficient resource utilization. Monitoring and controlling project financials, overseeing project cost, expenses.
• Identifying, qualifying/quantifying and managing risks related to technology/product design. Focusing on timely project completion and ensures transparent reporting to management
• Working closely with other Product Groups and ensuring that interfaces are well defined/ established and cross PG product development efforts are synchronized.
• Working with Technology Centers & Corporate Research Centers to ensure the right level of resources are working efficiently to complete the program.
• Acting as interface between internal functions (e.g. Sales, Operations, and Research & Development) for the product development program

Your background

• Must have a bachelor’s degree.
• Experience in project management.
• Must be a team player.
• Must understand ABB’s R&D process, Gate model; Technical understanding of switchgears and components.
• Should be familiar with typical standards (IEC, GB, IEEE, ANSI).
• Should be able to work with/lead multi-cultural teams.
