Business Development Manager (BDM) who challenges the ordinary and seeks to
innovate and drive transformation in a growing business.
The BDM will report to the Global Smart Support Services Director. This
position will be responsible for the full spectrum of business development
activities. Internally, BDM will interface extensively with various regional
Service Sales BDM to drive awareness, creating and implementing value-add
After-Sales services offerings, activities may include internal sales training
messaging and training deliverables. Externally, the primary role will be to
provide support as a Service Business Process consultant to the Service Sales
BDM to achieve successful sales with enterprise customers. Additionally, this
role also includes partner identification, engagement and contract negotiation
where relevant. Strong organizational agility, business acumen, relationship
building, and solid execution are the key skills to being successful in this
position. Lastly, the candidate will have a heightened focus on customer
centricity for the organizations they support.
Key Interactions:
• Lenovo Country Upsell Services Sale BDM / Segment Managers/ Account Rep (the
sellers)
• Service Delivery and Operations team for End-to-end After-Sales Services
(the delivery team)
• Customers who seek quality customer support for their product consumers
(Enterprise customers)
Key Responsibilities (not exclusive):
• In-depth understanding of our Service Offering value differentiators and
appropriately applying these differentiators/ capabilities to enhance
customers' business needs and influence customers effectively for successful
sales engagement.
• Continuously work with all sellers to identify and qualify sales pipeline
and leads
• Drive as well as support sellers to maximize service revenue, margin and
overall portfolio contribution
• Build and execute to operational plan, develop the business through the
usage of data analysis, Marketing Intelligence
• Partners segment sales, marketing teams & Affiliated Partner teams to
develop & execute demand generation programs (including sales enablement and
training).
• This position is an outstanding opportunity for a highly motivated
individual with business development skills, Service delivery knowledge and
customer service experience.
#### Position Requirements:
Relationship building capabilities:
• Deep knowledge of Service Delivery functions in all or any of these areas –
Call center management, Field Service Delivery, After-sales Supply Chain
management on a regional or global scale
• Proficient in being able to sell the value of services & associated
solutions; understands technology & able to articulate the practical
application/contribution to customers’ requirements.
• Keen focus on customer needs (knows how to connect with customers) with
exceptional focus on business analytical skills & financial acumen
• Ability to build effective “virtual” teams and drive results through others
in a complex cross-functional organization required. Strong negotiation and
influencing skills required, as well as an ability to interact effectively
with high-level decision makers/executives.
• Be comfortable to present and speak with C-Level executives
• Adept at managing multiple initiatives simultaneously
• Passionate for challenges and be motivated by numerous opportunities to
create and build in a fast-growing team
• Superior verbal and written communication skills:
• English – advanced level, spoken and written
• Any additional European language spoken will be an added advantage.
• 5+ years of experience in Services related fields
• Experience in Development/Functional Consulting functions is desirable
• Ability to travel when there are business needs
