We have an exciting opportunity for a Global Sr. Product Manager, Digital Clinical Health Solutions within the Core Diagnostics business located in Lake Forest, IL.

Clinical diagnostic testing provides important information for diagnosis, treatment and management of diseases and other conditions. Abbott Diagnostics is a leader in the core lab diagnostic industry with a focus on transforming healthcare and driving measurably better healthcare performance.

In this role, you will be responsible for marketing planning and product management of various aspects of the digital health solutions portfolio and associated strategies. The key objective is to establish and maintain the competitiveness of the business worldwide and support the regional marketing teams to drive commercial success.

WHAT YOU’LL DO  

  • Independently develop and drive multiple projects and action plans across regions and functions to accelerate growth for existing product lines and commercialize new products. Identify problems and conceptualize solutions using creativity and innovation.
  • Support the commercial organizations with documentation coordination (cross-functional project management, portfolio strategy/ prioritization) and global marketing support (websites, collateral, training, publications, scientific KOL, global congresses).
  • Leverage deep technical and customer knowledge to recommend product enhancement requirements; represent the voice of customer; participate in routine product life cycle management team meeting; and interface with all geographies to ensure product scope and timing will meet market needs.
  • Effectively influence and manage without authority when working with cross-functional partners as well as senior leaders.
  • Maintain intelligence on the market dynamics, including competitive landscape, market share, and environmental factors impacting the product line.
  • Lead communications with area marketing to provide updates on product performance, competitive activities, and other relevant information. 
  • Respond to country requests on product positioning, competitive information, product performance issues, etc.
  • Serve as primary subject matter expert for other functional groups.
  • Develop and document marketing processes.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING  

Required

  • Medical Laboratory Sciences or Life Sciences Bachelor’s degree with minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including 2 years in marketing / product management.
  • Marketing experience should include two or more of the following:
  • Healthcare product launch, new product development, market assessment, voice of customer market research, sales tools/messaging and/or future trend analysis
  • Strong cross-functional collaborative teamwork spirits and communication skills
  • High level of comfort with developing, interpreting, and communicating complex information with impactful visualizations and supporting data.
  • Demonstrated ability of working in a fast-paced, matrixed organization that requires quick response to changing market demands.
  • Ability to travel globally up to 25% of time dependent on business needs.
  • Demonstrated career trajectory, industry agility, global aptitude, competencies in project management, leadership, ability to influence without authority and collaborate well with other functions.

Preferred

  • MBA
  • 2+ years’ experience in clinical healthcare
  • Experience in software marketing includes SAAS
  • Familiarity with IVD market, industry practices and understanding of the core lab, with emphasis on immunoassays.
