Commodity Managers work with Engineering teams to make sure Google has the supplies and equipment to put into production the innovative products coming from our Engineering teams. As a Commodity Manager, you use your wide industry knowledge and strategic supplier relationships to optimize our total cost of ownership for our global - and growing - infrastructure. The scale at which Google operates means that savings on just one piece of hardware can have a huge impact on Google's bottom line.

As a Global Supply Chain Manager, you'll work on the supply chain for consumer devices. You'll execute the team's material acquisition strategy and work closely with Engineering teams to ensure material and part availability.

Responsibilities

• Co-work with global Supply Chain Management (GSM) teams to develop commodity strategies and executive with supplier development, allocation, cost and operation management.
• Work with cross function team to develop supplier capability of quality, process and operation management, base on product development cycle.
• Supply chain risk assessment, identification and mitigation, from capacity, resources, materials, L/T, logistics and deliveries to avoid supply impact.
• Demand supply management from forecasting, supply commit and deliveries. Provide supplier E&O management, supply chain and process efficiency enhancement.
• Upper stream supply chain management to ensure whole supply chain continuity. Provide cost analysis, management and improvement to drive cost effective to business objectives.
