Responsible for delivering training tools and content that help employees in AstraZeneca’s Oncology Business Unit (OBU) becoming and remaining confidently competent in making compliant decisions in their roles. You are motivated by giving your colleagues what they need to make good choices aligned with Astrazeneca’s Values and Global policies, standards and procedures. Across all elements of OBU’s Compliance Program, this role is instrumental to help and remind colleagues to do the right thing, and that OBU can demonstrate that we did.

Managing projects and collaborating with third party vendors (for the purpose of content creation), colleagues, leaders and other stakeholders in AZ’s Learning and Development community to deliver clear and practical training to ensure a good understanding of AZ’s core values and policies. Developing concepts and scripting/reviewing key compliance training for the OBU. Adopting a proactive approach to identifying and delivering training needs. Helping to drive transformation and continuous improvement.

Reporting directly to a senior Compliance leader on the OBU Compliance team, based in Gaithersburg MD, USA.

Training

  • Deliver and maintain a single encompassing training plan outlining compliance training requirements for every role (including critical third party vendor employees) in OBU, spanning from onboarding to moment of exit.
  • Initiate steps to ensure timely completion of mandatory compliance training requirements, including periodic and ad hoc (training) status updates to OBU Leadership and OBU Compliance.
  • Initiate, create and deliver effective compliance training that is practical, including effective management of third party training content creators.
  • Outline compliance training requirements when new OBU roles are created and help to ensure these are included in job descriptions.
  • Oversee delivery of Compliance Awareness Reviews by OBU Compliance to all (new) OBU senior leaders.
  • Ensure adequate administration of all Compliance training efforts and training completion rates.
  • Collaborate closely with existing functional training system administrators.

Communications

  • Be an ambassador for AstraZeneca’s Sustainability approach and effort, including EthicsWeek
  • Participate in our Code of Ethics Focus Group for our annual Global Code of Ethics awareness training.
  • Help deliver OBU’s Quarterly Sustainability reports and other (ad hoc) communications.
  • Create materials for stakeholder communication activities, like newsletters and campaign materials
  • Manage US OBU Compliance chatbot database
  • Keep OBU Compliance online presence (Nucleus portals, WorkDay up to date

Essential:

  • Experience with developing training programmes and training content
  • High School Diploma plus 7 years industry experience Pr
  • Superb English communication skills, oral and writing
  • Exhibit a proactive mindset and a pragmatic and solutions-orientated approach
  • Ability to work independently and be an effective collaborator and networker
  • Capable of dealing with ambiguity in a fast-paced, complex working environment
  • Uncompromising ethical standards, trustworthy, and operating with discretion
  • Excellent proficiency in MS Office tools
  • Willingness and ability to working in the office and from home

Desirable:

  • Experience of working in a Compliance, Legal or regulatory environment
  • Affinity with working across multiple cultures
  • Command of Spanish or other widely spoken language
  • Project management training and experience
  • Third party vendor management

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's Degree plus 3 years experience
