We’re currently searching for an experienced program manager to help us further our sustainability goals. The ideal candidate will have a sharp business mind and a proven ability to strategize and implement high-level program initiatives. As a natural born leader, you will have a strong talent for project coordination and delegation. Ultimately, you are motivated by the desire to optimize productivity and nurture program success from inception to completion.

This role will focus on coordinating and reporting on Lithium Recycling initiatives that have global scope, spanning multiple groups. This includes internal reporting and active portfolio management toward our 2030 goals and beyond, coordinating with teams across the globe.  As a key member of the platform leadership team, this role will be instrumental in defining projects and determining priorities.

Essential functions include:

- Coordinates all phases of programs from inception through completion.

- Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program hurdles and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications.

- Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas.

- Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of programs.

- Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and conditions of contract.

- Participates as technical lead in the negotiation of contract and contract changes.

- Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.

- Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for feasibility, development, and integration.

This pivotal position pulls initiatives into common formats and processes to drive systematic improvement and collaborates with multiple groups including Process Technology, Quality, Manufacturing, R&D, HS&E, Business, Finance and Capital Projects.  The initiatives will be dynamic and complex, requiring focus and sensitivity on the key questions and analytics to drive decisions.

Success for this position is measured through the ability to manage projects through to completion and accurately summarize project results for an executive audience.

Qualifications/Education

  • At least 8 years of applicable experience, involving multiple sites and multiple roles.
  • Degree in applicable engineering or science discipline, such as Chemical Engineering. 
  • Advanced degrees in technical or business fields are beneficial.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Familiarity with process safety management
  • Ease with coordinating with a variety of multidisciplinary teams toward a global objective, including overseeing projects from lab-scale to plant-scale
  • Agility to create alternate plans to achieve targets in a dynamic environment
  • Bring focus when visualizing and managing complex technical program portfolios
  • Results-driven, outcome-focused, action-oriented approach with a collaborative operating style
  • Data-based decision making, problem solving, prioritization, and risk-based management skills
  • Develop understanding of economic and project evaluation in portfolio context, including Brownfield project assessments
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong internal customer focus, adjusting style based on the needs of the audience.
