The major roles of the Global Trade Management (GTM) Analyst are to maintain and update compliance documents to reflect current regulatory requirements and procedures. The GTM Analyst reports to the Logistics and GTM Team Leader SCM and functionally reports to the Head of Trade Management (EMEA). The GTM Analyst performs import classification under the Harmonized System, export classification under the EU ECN or other country level systems in the region, free-trade agreement (FTA) qualification and analysis. Your main duties: Execute FTA solicitation and qualification, ensuring all necessary documentation is retained to ensure full compliance; Ability to fully explain the rules of the FTA to internal customers, detailing why a particular item qualifies or does not qualify for the FTA. Carry out classification projects, including working with engineering and procurement, to ensure Eaton items are properly classified for import and export. Trade support work to include providing certificates of origin, specific FTA documents, and receipt, coding, and arrangement for the loading of GTM vendor receipts for approval. Carry out due diligence checks on transactions as required. Report findings to the business and escalate any concerns to the relevant GTM Manager. Produce reporting for the tasks performed, provide updates to relevant teams and escalate issues where necessary. Qualifications Required: Bachelor’s degree required 1+ years in logistics / customs / trade compliance (or similar) experience desired. Willingness to learn customs related specific rules Proficiency in product classification, origination, and valuation skills is preferred. Experience in EU customs regulations is preferred Knowledge of EU member states import and export regulations, HS classification rules and valuation laws is preferred Familiarity with Customs BTI rulings is preferred Microsoft Suite skills required. Self-starter/Highly motivated. Team player, able to work in a team setting. Possess excellent organization and analytical skills. Able to work within tight time constraints Must be adaptable and resilient to constant changes in job duties, priorities and the internal/external business and regulatory environment. Ability to work unsupervised.
