Job Description

We are an international raw materials/commodities trading firm and are looking for Global Trade Specialist for our Operations Team.

Candidates should meet the following criteria:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or Accounting or equivalent /relevant discipline
  • 8 years or more of experience in Trade Finance
  • Knowledge of UCP600 ISP98 URC522 URDG758 URR725 ISBP INCOTERMS
  • Knowledge of general freight forwarding terms
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills of English and Mandarin
  • Professional presentation are required
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP
  • Independent, self-motivated, high energy, able to succeed in a fast-paced environment
  • Expertise in managing day-to-day activities and workflows

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process and monitor daily operations and trade transactions.
  • Liaise with banks and internal parties on trade issues.
  • Communicate with other departmental supervisors/managers regarding issues of inbound and/or outbound shipments
  • Responsible for shipping document processing including communications, booking, document handling, billing, tracking and delivery of cargo.
  • Troubleshoot shipping issues to the customer’s satisfaction.
  • Responsible for related accounting issues, process invoices for payment and ensure timely and correct billings.
  • Process incoming/outgoing clean documentary collections.
  • Issue statistical or detailed reporting for customers as requested.
  • Initial setup of export shipments.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.
  • Prepare data,reports and follow up on sales transactions when needed.
  • Ensure customers are provided with excellent service throughout the export process including
  • quick response to inquiries and problem resolution.
