Senior Product Owner- Go Global

 

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to guide the technical implementation and overall commercial success of a new and exciting productised language service to address specific customer segment needs. You will be responsible for overseeing the technical requirements of our new productised service, understanding the business needs, and working closely with cross-functional development teams including the off-shore development teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality technology enabled services that meet customer needs. This technology-enabled service combines a number of existing RWS products into a new digital proposition to drive business growth and increase revenues. In addition, this role will work closely with the Business Owner, Product Managers and scrum teams to understand the business needs and commercial drivers and ensure technical solutions are appropriate.

This role is a hybrid of remote and onsite work, with 2-3 days per week based at our Sheffield office.

 

Responsibilities:

1. Collect business requirements from the Business Owner and operational teams. Define and articulate the vision and strategy for the technical elements of the service.

2. Manage and maintain the requirements, prioritising items based on business value and customer needs.

3. Define and maintain the roadmap and align to the roadmaps of other RWS commercial and business applications.

4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including technical delivery to ensure alignment with the project vision and objectives.

5. Act as a liaison between stakeholders and e.g. development teams, product owners facilitating communication and decision-making.

6. Leverage customer feedback and analytics data to inform iterative releases and enhancements.

7. Develop a deep understanding of customer needs and market trends to guide product development.

8. Regularly review product performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and growth.

9. Work closely with Product Managers and project managers to deliver complex projects.

Experience:

1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

2. Proven experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager or similar role in a technology or translation services environment, delivering customer facing solutions.

3. Strong knowledge of Agile principles and practices.

4. Familiarity with delivery of web-based products, integrations, and workflow/ similar systems.

5. Excellent problem-solving skills and an analytical mindset, with experience of using data to support decisions.

6. Exceptional communication, presentation, and leadership skills.

7. Excellent influencing and negotiation skills.

8. Experience of working with remote and offshore teams.

Nice to have:

1. Building and realising ecommerce offerings, web experience, crowd-based supply chain, self-service, process optimisation

2. Certification as a Product Owner or in Agile methodologies.

3. Familiarity with the language technologies, and workflow or similar translation management systems.
