As a Golf Associate will be required to;

 

Join the team to work within the function, providing Golf and retail services

Golf tuition opportunities will be available.

 

Experience:

  • Previous experience working within a Golf environment preferred

The following are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successful performance of the position:

  • To be partially responsible for organising golf and social events for Club members. 

  • To provide and market a range of professional services to further enhance the golfing experience of members, residents, guests and in particular, visiting parties and corporate days. 

  • To advise as required on the sale of Golf equipment in the retail shop.

  • To ensure that all monies are held in a proper manner, recorded and locked away in accordance with company standards.

 

  • To provide a high-quality golf environment for all Golf & Leisure Shop customers.
  • To provide a high level of service to all Golf & Leisure Shop customers, to ensure that financial targets are attained and that customer satisfaction is achieved.
  • To contribute to retail policy and stock ordering, to maximize revenue potential.
  • To assist in general shop and service-related duties to ensure functioning of Golf  Shop as both retail and service environment.
  • To carry out other duties as may be required to ensure the Hotel Operation is properly maintained to provide total guest satisfaction.
  • To be responsible for stock control, transfers and movements.
  • To achieve designated Hotel profit margins by generating turnover against cost of sales.
  • To ensure that all monies are held in a proper manner, recorded and locked away in accordance with company standards.

 

Key Controls -

  • All keys must be signed for when taken out and again when returned in an appropriate register. A Front Office Associate must countersign the keys on each occasion.  No keys are to be removed from the hotel without authority from the General Manager.
  • Keys must always be kept on my person during a shift or placed in a secure lockable place.
  • Keys to cash boxes, drawers, bedrooms and offices must be held only by the Associates responsible for them and never given to any unauthorised individuals.
  • Where a hotel has a reception safe, the keys to this safe must be kept in the possession of the Associate responsible for the safe.
  • The safe must never be left open, or the key to it left in the lock and at no time must the amount of cash contained in the safe exceed the insurance limit for that safe.
  • All cash floats must have signed for when taken out and again when returned. A Front Office Associate must countersign the float on each occasion.  Once cash float holders have signed for the floats they become responsible for them.
  • Cash must always be kept in a secure place and never let unattended.  Safes, cash drawer cash boxes etc., must be kept locked at all times when not in use.
  • No person other than the Associate responsible must be allowed access to the float.
  • The float holder at the end of each shift must balance individual cash floats.
  • Cash must never be counted in areas accessible to the public and must always be replaced in the safe and the safe locked before dealing with interruptions.
  • Outlet Pay-ins at reception must be countersigned by the Reception Cashier in the presence of the outlet depositor.
  • When handing over keys at the end of the shift, keys should be given personally to the oncoming associate who is designated as having responsibility for those keys.
  • All keys when handed in should be placed in an appropriate safe.
  • No unauthorised persons other than Front Office Associates are allowed to issue keys or floats.

  • Performs other related tasks as assigned by management.
  • Complies with Marriott International Hotels Limited Regional Office policies and procedures.
  • Working hours as required to do your job
